Can’t stand that smarmy guy.
I was talking about the guy not the building he uses for his church. I know other preachers rent out his building like Joyce Meyer as an example. I took about maybe three minutes of his preaching and just gagged.
In one of the most puzzled over passages in the Bible, Satan presents himself before God in chapter one. In verse eight, God asks Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?”
Job 42:5 I had only heard about You before, but now I have seen You with my own eyes.
I encourage all to read the before and after of the above.
Nailed it!
Frauds like Osteen make me want to puke and they do more to turn people away from God then they do anything good in their so-called Ministry.
Olsteen is taking in God’s money and using it for whatever and he’ll be accounting for it before Him.
Joyce Meyer is no saint either; multi-million dollar jet, big mansion, husband drives a hundred thousand dollar car, get’s paid thousands a year for whatever. She says her wealth comes from God but it comes from scamming folks into sending her money.
“For a time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear” 2Timothy 4:3
JOB42:12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
JOB42:13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
JOB42:14 And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.
JOB42:15 And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
JOB42:16 After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons sons, even four generations.
JOB42:17 So Job died, being old and full of days.

Commentary:
So the rest of the story is that after a time of trial, after Job gained a greater understanding of God and repented his having a superficial relationship with God, then God made Job more prosperous than he was before when Job was merely “perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.”
For those of you who continually play the game of “Who shall ascend into heaven? or Who shall descend into the deep?” I leave you with these words from Saint Paul:
ROM10:05 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
ROM10:06 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
ROM10:07 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
ROM10:08 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
ROM10:09 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
ROM10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Job did not send money to Joel Osteen or to Reverend Ike.
Mike Murdock seemed even sleazier than Osteen, but I haven’t seen him in a while. It seemed that Murdock never talked about ANYTHING but money, e.g., “Sow a seed of $40 and I’ll send you my new pamphlet called, ‘God wants you to prosper.’”
Osteen's humble $10.5 million mansion and guest house in Houston's most exclusive neighborhood River Oaks.
What makes you think that Job wasn’t the Joel Osteen of his age? In order to have gorgeous daughters, one has to have a gorgeous wife. ;-)
Here is more of the rest of the story, that you may have missed. God told people to give money and gold to Job and have Job pray for them.
JOB42:07 And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
JOB42:08 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
JOB42:09 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.
JOB42:10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
JOB42:11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.

Wow...did you miss the point of those scriptures.
Job's friends had given him bad advice and false teachings while Job was suffering.
God, being decidedly upset with them, said that unless they made a burnt offering, and allowed Job to pray for them, He wouldn't accept their prayers.
THEN all of Jobs friends and relatives (that were still alive) returned to him and brought him gifts. God didn't command them to give gifts to Job, they just did because they felt sorry for all the loss and pain he had gone through.
This is not the same thing as paying a pastor. Not even close.
“after God allows Satan to afflict Job”
Technically, God said He would not intervene. “Allow” makes it sound like God was an active participant.
