Posted on 03/29/2018 7:40:27 AM PDT by NRx
[Scalfari:] Your Holiness, in our previous meeting you told me that our species will disappear in a certain moment and that God, still out of his creative force, will create new species. You have never spoken to me about the souls who died in sin and will go to hell to suffer it for eternity. You have however spoken to me of good souls, admitted to the contemplation of God. But what about bad souls? Where are they punished?
[Francis:] "They are not punished, those who repent obtain the forgiveness of God and enter the rank of souls who contemplate him, but those who do not repent and cannot therefore be forgiven disappear. There is no hell, there is the disappearance of sinful souls."

They picked the Obama of Catholic Church
This is the most bizarre Pope ever.
I feel for faithful Catholics. Isn’t this heresy enough to get him un-poped? It doesn’t sound like he reads the Bible.
disappear to where Frank? a person’s soul - actual energy (negative in this case Frank is asked about, the walk in a room and feel the chill/rejection coming off someone type energy) just disappears?
God may do something like that, but where is that in the bible? And why did Jesus and others spend so much time telling people about a good and not so good afterlife and that choices on earth have consequences?
“Do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law” — Aleister Crowley
Obviously this “Pope” has either forgotten certain parts of, or has never read or understood the Holy Scripture or the Canon of the Roman Catholic Church.
This man needs fired, real bad, but I am through with caring more than the Church body itself, on the Church having an anti-Christ as their religious leader.
The Roman Catholic Church is in a tail spin. Certain Laws can not be ignored. Gravity being one of them.
The questions which arise from this conclusion are;
1) What can the Church do about this?
2) Who (if anyone) is actually the true Pope?
3) When a formal heretic ascends to the Chair of Peter, what does this tell us about the times through which we're living?
“This is the most bizarre Pope ever.”
Indeed. Must have his own edition of Holy Scriptures.
Not in this case (or most cases).
“our species will disappear in a certain moment and that God, still out of his creative force, will create new species.”
There is no scriptural support for this. Is he a science fiction fan or what?
2) is easy.
I’m under the understanding that when the pope speaks on biblical matters he’s correct.
That quote, if accurate, is pretty L Ron Hubbard.
No Hell? I know some folks who are going to test his theology when they die.
