Dear Cal,

It is none of your business who evangelicals vote for.

I don’t remember “the mantle” ever being placed on the shoulders of the magic Negro, even with all the news fawning over him, as it was, by a Negro pastor, no less.

I don’t recall any other President in my lifetime ever being talked about as ‘biblical Cyrus’.

Sometimes, Cal, you should allow yourself the luxury of an unexpressed thought. Perhaps Hillary is more to your Christian taste.

It’s a stupid question. Evangelical Christians who support Trump, because they support his policies and appointments, do not “serve” Trump, and Trump is not their “master”. In the sense of who serves whom, Trump is serving the people (on behalf of those who elected him), no persons are morally or politically “serving” Trump.

Cal is blind.
Nobody is worshiping Trump.
He is like a Pharisee.

Remember the contribution of Cal Thomas to this article before the election?   "Conservatives Against Trump" (scroll down for Cal Thomas).

Here's a t-shirt for Cal Thomas:

Mr. Thomas, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. He died for my sins, and overcame death for my salvation. He always was, is, and forever will be. Donald J. Trump is the hired help. I do not “serve” him in any capacity. In 2-6 years, he will have no power whatsoever. From dust he came, and to dust he will return. Can you understand the difference between these two people?

We just had a Mass at our home. We invited our good friend (I’ve known her for over 60 years; she’s 88), a most-devout Missouri-Synod Lutheran, who talks and talks and talks about Jesus (she left tracts on our table!), her family, and finally Donald J. Trump; she loves him.

So after Mass today, after showing us a couple black and whites of her sisters she had tucked away in her purse, she walked into the kitchen to talk to the presiding priest, and my husband glanced over and smiled at me (I cannot really hear) and mouthed the words, “Caroline is talking about Trump!”

What a hoot! Smile, live on and pray!

Wonder how Cal would have felt about King David?

He was known to have a wondering eye.

Indeed. I had no desire to vote for a woman who sees the mother(played by Angela Lansbury) in The Manchurian Candidate as her role model.

To Cal Thomas;

Although you now seem to believe that it’s better if you do not claim your Vatican II Catholicism when you write, it still seeps out. You are a “modern” Catholic; I am a “traditional” Catholic. I faithfully assist at a TLM in an SSPX Chapel, while you worship at a Novus Ordo Mass. We are both Catholics, however, although we have very different notions of what we should be doing as Catholics and what out Church is all about. These recent piece of yours underscores our differences.

You, as a modern Catholic have learned to separate God from politics. You proudly deny your affiliation with the one and only Church established by Jesus Christ as you offer your political opinions to the clueless followers of the media. You cleverly make the case for the foolish that God doesn’t get involved in these elections. Many, I’m sure will believe you. You suggest to those who will read and accept your counsel, that the Evangelicals must not believe that God had a hand in selecting Donald Trump as our president. As though somehow or another, you know better than most what God wants or doesn’t want.

Yes, the Evangelicals do believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, but so do Catholics––at least traditional Catholics and those who have rejected the heresy of Modernism and follow the immutable doctrines of the Catholic Church. Yet you criticize those Evangelicals who would place their faith in God. You criticize them for daring to believe that God will answer every one of their prayers––including those prayers that ask for His guidance and His assistance in selecting our nation’s leader. You’re a very foolish man.

Here’s a suggestion, Cal; sit down and write a letter of advice to the pope. Suggest to him that homosexual behavior is sinful and that despite what he says, it is his duty to judge whether the behavior of any one of us is offensive to God––just like it is your duty and mine. Tell Pope Francis that America is a nation that President Trump has a right to exclude non-citizens from her borders to protect the citizens, and that marriage with one’s first spouse is forever––regardless of how difficult it can be at times. There is much more you could tell him, for as you must know, that potential list of advice is near endless. Maybe then, after you’ve successfully straightened out the heretical thinking of the pope, maybe then you can get to work on the Evangelicals.

Many evangelicals had much worse lives than that, before they were saved. We understand how some people will always judge you on past deeds, it goes with the territory. Evangelicals, I believe, are supporting Trump based on his redeemed present life.

After the damnable deification of St Obama to say anything of Trump by anyone in the media is suspect, and not to be considered reasonable.
