The Uniqueness of Male and Female...
https://billrandles.wordpress.com/2018/05/27/the-uniqueness-of-male-and-female/ ^ | 05-26-18 | Bill Randles

Posted on 05/27/2018 12:59:11 PM PDT by pastorbillrandles

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7)

In all of the rest of Creation, the LORD God spoke and it was. Creation by Fiat, The Lord said…”Let there be Trees, fish, beasts, domestic animals, etc.” . But when He made man, The Most High got down in the clay, and formed with his own hands the marvelous body of the first man, Adam.

Then he did something completely intimate, something very close to ‘mouth to mouth’ , He breathed into his very nostrils the Spirit of Life. (Who do you let breath into your nostrils?).

Man is unique, He is different from all of the rest of Creation, which seems to have been brought into being to serve his needs and to make him comfortable in a suitable habitation, by the merciful Creator.

But if Man is unique, what is Woman? She is totally special, and was brought into being in an eve more intimate way.

And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed (Genesis 2:18-25).

The first “not good” pronounced by the LORD God on any aspect of His creation, occurred before the Fall of man. Therefore, it had nothing to do with Satan, sin or evil. God’s plan was not yet complete, for the LORD God had purposed that man was not to be a solitary actor. It was not good that the man was alone. God would make for him a help meet (suitable and complimentary) for him.

This need for marital companionship was seemingly underscored by the divinely assigned task of naming all of the animals. Obviously, none of the beautiful creatures, as unique and interesting as they were, could possibly meet the need of the man for a life companion.

How does God turn a “not good” into a “Good”?

The LORD God did something about the problem that looks a lot like death and resurrection.

God put Adam into a deep sleep, that He might perform a kind of surgery upon him. The first human blood was shed here, for God removed from the first man a side, (not a rib as the KJV says), but a side in the Hebrew. He took a side out of Adam’s flesh, to form a woman from Adam’s side. Then the LORD God had to close up the flesh of Adam. (Was this the first scar?)

The woman, who came out of Adam’s side, was different from Adam, but she was complimentary to him. Both of them comprise the image of God, for it is written, “Male and female created He them in His Image . . .”. But the woman was fashioned in a different and more refined way than the man. Man was formed out of the “dust of the earth”, the soil. But woman was fashioned out of the side of man, refined and refashioned soil.

Even the order of Creation is significant. Man was created first, then woman. The woman was formed as a help suitable to the man. Centuries later when the apostle Paul was teaching the church, he referred to the order of Creation as a reason why leadership in the church should primarily be male.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve (1 Timothy 2:12-13).

Men and women are equal but different, according to the Word of God. Gender is not a mere human construct, as the spirit of this evil age insists. Male and female are, in fact, God assigned roles, based upon the mode and order of Creation. The deliberate repudiation of these roles is one of the ultimate expressions of the world’s final rebellion against God Himself.

As Adam came out of his deep sleep, he stood there before God, with the scar in his side, waiting to be presented by the LORD God, with the first woman–a creature of astonishing beauty and grace, no doubt.

This particular scene in the Scripture, foreshadows the final triumph, for the ultimate Groom also has a scar in His side, and awaits the time when the Father presents the Bride, the Lamb’s wife, the body of the Messiah, the church, purchased by His blood.

Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed (Genesis 2:23-25).

There is a wedding at very near the beginning of the Bible, and a wedding at the end of it. The union of man and wife is the fundamental human relationship. Before any other relationship–father/son, brother/brother, or brother/sister, friend/friend, employer/employee–the fundamental and primal relationship is husband/wife.

This first wedding is of prophetic significance, because the original groom, who had a scar in his side, from which his wife was taken, foreshadows the ultimate Bridegroom, Jesus, out of whose side blood and water poured forth when they pierced Him, whilst He was paying the price for His bridal church, (which He purchased from sin with His own blood).

Centuries later the apostle Paul would reveal to us by divine revelation, something of what Adam had been given a glimpse of on that hopeful day,

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church (Ephesians 5:31-32).

The mystery of marriage is that it is, in itself, a sign that points to a greater reality– the love of the Messiah for His church. The word that God used when He said that He formed the woman out of Adam’s side, is the same word that will be used to describe Cain building a city. We will see in Genesis chapter 4 that in rebellion against God, Cain built a city of rebellion. Enoch, (means “Inauguration”), a “New Start” without God, for all of those who wish to leave the presence of the Lord and to make their own life on their own terms.

But God has built a bride for Adam, and He has been building a bridal city for the Messiah, the Bride, the Lamb’s wife, which is a “bridal city” of God,

And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal (Revelation 21:9-11).

A society that says we are the same is doomed to failure. We are different and need each others abilities to remain a society.

I think Satan knows that the best way to destroy society, is to destroy the family unit. In many ways, I think he has succeeded.
In the end, however, he will be cast in to the lake of fire 🔥 along with his fallen angels, and his human followers, of which there are MANY. I figure a lot of these people, will say, Lord, didn’t we do many great works in your name? His answer, of course, will be that he never knew them. I wonder if there are some here, who will hear those terrifying words? It must be awful, to have to endure that pain and agony forever. Not good, so why do people choose to go to Hell? A question for the ages.

The deception rampant within Catholicism knows no bounds.

You are correct MM. I know that you and I, and others, are very happy to be out of it FOREVER. I have assurance of salvation, even if some individuals think that is committing the sin of presumption. I am totally comfortable committing that sin, except I think it’s a blessing, not a sin. Everyone should try it. They will like it. 😁🤣🇵🇭

Do you think God would have chosen to born by a sinner?

Yes.

He came to die for sinners because He loves them.

Why would being born to one be such a big deal to Him?

Your Bible documents Eve’s sin; but does it document the Mother of God ever sinned?

Heck; it don't even document 'Mother of God'!!

Luke 2:22-24

When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord  (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord”),  and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.”

Leviticus 12:7-8

Then he shall offer it before the LORD and make atonement for her, and she shall be cleansed from the flow of her blood. This is the law for her who bears a child, whether a male or a female.
'But if she cannot afford a lamb, then she shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, the one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she will be clean.'"

Sinless Mary??
Not according to Rome's Book;    1 John 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

That's the way it is WRITTEN.

THIS is the way it is TAUGHT:  1 John 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us; the only exception being Mary, Mother of GOD, of course.
Rome has made IT's 'Mary' into a HYPOCRIT, by painting her as SINLESS, yet writing of her going into the temple to make a SIN offering.

Luke 1:26-38  Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)   (Rome's bible)

26 And in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God into a city of Galilee, called Nazareth,

27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.

28 And the angel being come in, said unto her: Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

29 Who having heard, was troubled at his saying, and thought with herself what manner of salutation this should be.

30 And the angel said to her: Fear not, Mary, for thou hast found grace with God.

31 Behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and shalt bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name Jesus.

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the most High; and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of David his father; and he shall reign in the house of Jacob for ever.

33 And of his kingdom there shall be no end.

34 And Mary said to the angel: How shall this be done, because I know not man?

35 And the angel answering, said to her: The Holy Ghost shalt come upon thee, and the power of the most High shalt overshadow thee. And therefore also the Holy which shalt be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

36 And behold thy cousin Elizabeth, she also hath conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her that is called barren:

37 Because no word shalt be impossible with God.

38 And Mary said: Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done to me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

(shall / shalt is NOT 'asking' Mary if she'll do something for GOD)

(This ain't CONSENTING)

“but does it document the Mother of God ever sinned?”

Mary was a sinner, like every human born after the fall of mankind.

We are all born with a sin nature - the life of Adam.

Mary, the sinner, acknowledged her need of a Savior.

Only sinners need a Savior to pay the price for their individual sins and who they are as a sinner.

Now, if you want a discussion, do prove she was not a sinner from God’s Word.

“Do you think God would have chosen to born by a sinner?”

“He who had no sin, became sin for us, so that in Him we might become the Righteousness if God.”

Yes, Christ is comfortable with sinners, as Scriptire demonstrates. He is drawn to it and has the only solution for sin.

“In case you have forgotten, the Immaculate Conception is Blessed Mary’s conception”

Man-made silliness that lays the foundation of idolatry of dear Mary.

>>You forgot one.<<

I did not forget the Son of God but apparently you forget that He was "conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary".

You seem to be echoing Mormon theology here.

Is He not eternal?

Do you think God would have chosen to born by a sinner?

Do you not think He was not impacted by sin due to unique circumstances involved?

P.S. In case you have forgotten, the Immaculate Conception is Blessed Mary's conception, not Jesus Christ's conception.

No...that is not the Immaculate Conception....depending on the ECF you read.

>>Your logic never ceases to fail.<<

OK. Show me where it's in your bible. If you can't, toss your "sola scriptura" out your window.

This coming from a Roman Catholic who places his hopes of avoiding the hell-fire in a piece of cloth and quite possibly a medal and who takes the words of an apparition over the words of inspired Scripture.

From the same Roman Catholic that will not affirm John 5:24.

You of all the people on these threads are the least qualified to question anything.

But, then again, you are placing your hope for avoiding the hell-fire in an apparition and a piece of cloth.

>>If she didn't have any sin, there was nothing to save her from.

Only three people were born without original sin; Adam, Eve and the Blessed Virgin. Yet, Adam and Eve both sinned after their creation and remained in the Limbo of the Elders until, as all of their descendents did, either in Limbo or Hell.

Every single one of them, including Mary, needed a Savior to go to Heaven. So do you and so do I.

Romans 5:20 Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,

Grace is only operative in the presence of sin. A person without sin will never know or experience the grace of God.

In order for Mary to be a recipient of God's grace, she HAD to have sinned. without sin, she could not have been *full of grace*.

Gee Els, I must be up the proverbial creek, since I am not inclined to serve Mary. I am comfortable, however, giving her the respect she deserves. I just don’t believe for an instant, however, that she is a sinless Demi goddess. Not for one second. 😁🇵🇭😊
