I don’t have the right to put any one to death but it does not mean
that they should live to commit
more abominations.

Loving the sinner doesn’t mean doing away with justice or executing the law. The guy said the govt should execute sodomites. It’s his belief.

On this plant abominations occur so often it is impossible to count. Imagine how bad things were 2,020 years ago. The main concern should be souls. You kill the flesh, and the soul may still be here. The good book says no one leaves unless through our lord, probably because of all these abominations here.

I have a question - since Sodom and Gomorrah happened pre-commandments, why wasn’t homosexuality addressed on the tablets?

The Ten Commandments are basically a summary of the moral law. They do not address every paraphilia. Some argue that the prohibition against adultery includes all sex outside of marriage, but that seems like a stretch. It’s just not an exclusive list.

??????

When the stiff-necked people wearied of trying to follow God's Will, He told them he would give them the rules to live by....When Jesus told us, if one broke even the least of the commandments, one broke them all as far as God was concerned.....following the Commandments, as written, was the price of a ticket through the Pearly Gates - and they were given to prove to us that we couldn't even follow 10 simple rules...resulting in Jesus being killed to redeem us....please don't rewrite the Bible or tell us "what God was really thinking" in order to explain that which you "know but cannot definitively prove" - without adding and/or subtracting from the Bible.

If what you say is true, then we should still be following the bits of the moral law of the time that said if one had a wet dream, he was unclean for the day and needed to separate himself from the group, etc., etc., etc.........

The Ten Commandments are not an exhaustive list of sinful behavior under Mosaic Law. Is it your contention that Leviticus and Deuteronomy are not part of the Bible? Is it your contention that there were no sins outside of the Ten Commandments? That seems to be your position.

==> God burned two cities to death because they were filled with Sodomites. ...Leviticus says they need to be killed.

I have to say that I don’t care for the gay thing. Its baffling to me. Equally as baffling to me religious extremists wanting to kill every homosexual among other religious violations including violating the Sabbath (Num 15:32-36).

But please dont let people like me sway your motivation. Go ahead and kill em all.

People like you and I are born and wake up one day thinking we understand everything. We measure everything from our own short little lives. These concepts of generations and millennium do not register with us because we have never lived through one.

We think we know everything we need to know as a consequence of our short little existences and our teeny tiny repertoire of experience.

So is the bible wrong? Is the sum knowledge of thousands of years and countless generations incorrect?

I think it's a bit arrogant to dismiss it out of hand.

If the bible says homosexuals tend to become violent rapists when they exist in large numbers, i'm going to consider the possibility. I'm not going to say, "My few decades of life on this planet informs me sufficiently to dismiss what these ancient writings say."

I'm not going to say that we should fully embrace the bible directive on this matter, but I do believe we should recall the history recounted in the bible with an eye to watching for it.

And what i've been seeing lately with the original Nazis being mostly homosexual, the spies and traitors of our nation and Britain being homosexual, the spread of AIDS, the incidence of homosexuals being serial killers, the incidence of homosexuals molesting children, such as the Catholic priest scandals, and nowadays the gay mafia trying to punish people for not embracing them, tends to make me believe perhaps the bible knows whereof it speaks.

Perhaps society will continue with no further bad things happening as a consequence of homosexuals growing their percentage of society, but on the other hand, perhaps we will look back at some future date and think to ourselves "We should have wiped them out when we had the chance."
