I’ve heard people talk about their gay kids.

It is one thing to see how our kids are being misslead by the mainstream media and society in thinking that these choices are wrong. But the church!!!!???

I am not going to address the biblical injunction on whether homosexuals must be killed.
We live in different times.
Remember that only wealthy large societies can imprison.
It is too costly.
Even when used for slaves.

That leaves adultery as the only form of sexual immorality. Rape, incest, bestiality, prostitution ... none of those are in the Ten Commandments. Under the setup you are espousing, unmarried people are free to engage in any and all of those.
The bottom line is that homosexual behavior is sinful under the Old and New Covenants. Scripture is clear. Christians didn’t get it wrong for 2000 years, only to be corrected by some clever modern people. It needs repentance just like other sins. It should not be lived in and glorified, just like other sins shouldn’t be. Gay is not okay.

Blaise Pascal had the same cartoon reality as myself. You need to be reminded that “men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it with religious conviction”. Thats no cartoon DL and you know it.
