The End Times, for many Christians, brings to mind the Rapture, Tribulation, the Second Coming, and Judgement Day. But what do Jewish traditions teach about the End Times? And are those traditions coming true before our eyes?
Jewish beliefs about the End Times are based on the Hebrew Bible (the Old Testament, especially the books of Ezekiel, Isaiah, Daniel, and Malachi) as well as later rabbinic sources in the Talmud and Midrash.
These traditions discuss key events that include:
The Resurrection of the Dead The Ingathering of the Exiles (including the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel) The building of a Third Temple in Jerusalem The reign of the Messiah-King descended from King David The relationship between these events and their timing are unclear, but a number of other factors will play a role.
Elijah the Prophet, the harbinger of the Messiah, is to return to anoint the Messiah. The period immediately preceding the Messiahs return will be a time of great uncertainty and suffering. These birth pangs of the Messiah will include social upheavals. A great war will rage between mighty nations as described by Ezekiel in his prophecy of Gog and Magog. (Ezekiel 38) The end result will be a period of world peace (The wolf shall dwell with the lamb
Isaiah 11:6) and, perhaps, eternal life.

“God says that he put the stars in the heavens as signs for us.”
As signs for times and seasons. So we could know when to plant crops, for example, or observe the festivals that God told us to keep. Not signs to look for to predict the future. That’s pure paganism. Even the one example of a “sign” of that type in the heavens in the Bible, the star of Bethlehem, was NOT a sign given to Israel. It was the pagan Magi who were chasing that sign.
“Clearly what Rev 12 describes transpired on Sept 27 2017.”
No it doesn’t. Did a third of the stars of heaven fall from the sky on that date? Nope. How about the man child with a rod of iron who would rule all the nations (Jesus Christ)? Was he born on that day? Nope again. I could go on, but clearly what that chapter is describing didn’t happen on that date, and it isn’t describing some astronomical or astrological phenomenon. We’re never instructed to look for this “sign”. It’s a sign that is shown to John the Revelator, a sign that clearly refers to some events that had already happened by the time John was shown the sign.
Until you grasp that, you will never understand the meaning of the chapter. You also might want to search the Old Testament to see what the sun, moon, and stars in that verse actually represent, in prophecy. Hint: they are not astronomical bodies.
Depends on who you believe.
Some folks say as little as 3 months since all of the items are built & practically ready to be placed. Others say about a year.
The Temple Institute used to have a lot more details on their website.
Best advice I can ever give you regarding “Messiah”. Any world leader who claims he is the one - Do.Not.Believe.Him.
Believe your two witnesses (Elijah & Moses or Enoch)
See verses:
Malachi 4:5
Deuteronomy 18:15-18
Zechariah 4 (specifically 4:14)
By the way, regarding your scholarly quip about ‘Jews who think they are authentic,’ a Jew is “authentic” in accordance with a system that has been in place for thousands of years.
One doesn’t wake up, like so many of our noble scholars here, and drawl “Gee, I’m grafted in! Learned it in Sunday School!”
And in the same statement you talk about your supreme knowledge of Hebrew and the practices of “any Jew in Israel...”
“....most Christians know more about their festivals, history, and religion than they do.”
I nailed you! (so to speak.)
Next week can you post something about your superior command of Shintoism?
Still praying for you golux.
You might think I’m an enemy, but my Messiah is a Jew through and through so it’s a bit disingenuous to call me a hater.
Speaking of stubbornness, and old Jewish Proverb about that:
Proverbs 12:15-16
I like The Lord’s calm Fatherly attempt to get His stubborn child to come to his senses:
Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Has Dr. Fauci made an authoritative ruling yet?
Most connect the starting date to 1948. I connect it to 1967, when the Jews recaptured Jerusalem.
Maybe it wont start until Jews have actual sovereignty on the Temple Mount. Moshe Dayan gave the Mount back to Muslims almost immediately because he didnt want messianic fever to go too wild.
Well if a generation in the Bible is thirty years then the term/word “people” should apply.
Anybody that hasnt, needs to read the following:Book of Revelations
Revelation, singular
The Left Behind novel
"It was a dark and stormy night". I lasted about a third of the way through the first book.
Anything written by Johnathan Cahn
Whatever.
>>> Did a third of the stars of heaven fall from the sky on that date?
Thats not what Rev 12 says. It refers to the virgin with 12 stars as a crown, sun on her shoulder and moon at her feet. The only thing that was missing (that we know of) astronomically was the red dragon about to consume the child as it was born. I think I remember something about the same alignment happening again in about 25-30+ years, but I dont know... only that that the last time it occurred was supposedly about the time that Adam and Eve walked on the earth.
>>> As signs for times and seasons. So we could know when to plant crops, for example, or observe the festivals that God told us to keep. Not signs to look for to predict the future. Thats pure paganism.
You are wrong about this. I suggest you research it better.
God uses the stars He placed in the heaven to display His Glory and confirm His Word to man. They are not just for planting crops. You are thinking of Astrology and signs of the Zodiac which is an abberation of what God intended. Just because Satan corrupts a medium God intended for our education does NOT disqualify that medium. Don’t confuse the 2. God put them there for signs, Satan distracted us from it by selling the zodiac. Dont throw out the baby with the bathwater.
I believe that the alignment which took place on that date is accurately described in Revelation chapter 12.
The only relevance I can apply to it as a “sign” for ANYTHING is a POSSIBLE marker for the age I DO believe we live in... a “Confirmation” if you will for Those who are looking up in anticipation of His coming, instead of spending their time telling people what things “Aren’t”.
IT MEANS SOMETHING!.. thats all i’m saying. I have not suggested that we predict future events from it.
Feel free to give us your all knowing interpretation of what it does mean, since you obviously know everything about what it is not.
It doesn't say "a generation", it says the generation won't pass away. It takes 80+ years for a generation to pass away.
But the def. is thirty years.
Thank you for all the corrections
Amos 5
18 Woe to you who long for the Day of the LORD! What will the Day of the LORD be for you? It will be darkness and not light.
19 It will be like a man who flees from a lion, only to encounter a bear, or who enters his house and rests his hand against the wall, only to be bitten by a snake.
20 Will not the Day of the LORD be darkness and not light, even gloom with no brightness in it?
Wise One!
Pray for me as I do not yet have the Keys to the Kingdom, as you (of course) do.
“I am the LORD thy God. Thou shalt have no other gods before Me, except, of course, my Son, and the Holy Ghost, but under no circumstances the Calf, unless it is an incarnation of Krsna. You may also kneel before CERTAIN shapes, such as crosses, and worship certain iterations of what you deem to be Holy... But not TOO many, okay?
...Do these things and YOU will get to Heaven, but nobody else. Except maybe that Allah cat and his man Mo. Oh yeah: act like Jesus invented the notion of an afterlife and didn’t get it from my actual Torah.
...That way your officers can win win money and power - uh, err, souls - for the gods. Heck just trust Saul - he’ll take care of the marketing. You need a pamphlet. Oh - and nix the circumcision. Tell ‘em there’s a New Law or something...
Heck. Pull this off and you’ll have Pagans calling themselves Maccabees!”

I was just reading about it over on the Don't Pet the Deer thread. Talk about timing!
Whats the WORST way to get Lyme disease?
From a rabid skunk or raccoon that just b it you.
So you have both Lyme and rabies, maybe a infection too.
Then as you head home, you encounter aa rattlesnake who bites you.
The ruckus alerts a nearby mother bear with cubs who rips you to shreds, but leaves you to recover from your wounds, snake bite, rabies and Lyme disease.
***
You know what that means... Folks just aren't prepared!
Have the Jewish End Times Begun?
Venahafoch hu:
The truth [EMT] will be rare and the face of that generation will be as the face of a dog.
Exo 3
2. And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed:
3. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt:
4. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses; And he said, Here am I:
"I'm Okay!"
The transformation from flesh to a spirit body will happen at the Last Trump, the 7th. What is called the Rapture is going to happen at the very end of THE Tribulation.
I can see no scripture to shake that belief.
