After 573 weeks, starting our 12 year on the New Year Weekend, the DC Chapter is declaring VICTORY over the moonbats that formally stood opposite us. There has been a single moonbats for several years, occasionally having support from her daughter. Since mid-October, she has been a no show. Weather has been good most weeks, but she has stood in inclement weather in the past. We can only conclude she has given up. The DC Chapter is going to have a special FReep, Saturday, January 21,2017, the day after Trump’s inauguration. All FReepers in good standing are invited to join...

Bucs' wide receiver Vincent Jackson is a well-known supporter of deployed troops and military families, particularly through his "Jackson in Action 83" Foundation. He extended that charitable reach even further on Monday night by inviting 400 military members and their families to the Tampa Bay Lightning game on his dime. Jackson, who was acting as the Bolts' "Social Captain" of the evening, purchased 400 tickets and donated them all to military members for the second year in a row. Supporting the troops is a mission dear to Jackson's heart as both of his parents served in the Armed Forces.

Well it’s clear from president Obama’s State of the Union poetry that we’ve reached the terminal phase of the old deal that’s been foisted on us, also known as the New Deal. Back when the world was young president Kennedy told us that it was time for a new generation of leaders, “tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage--and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed…. who have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour...

HELP!! SOMEONE STOLE FROM THE TROOPS! Friends, we have some tough news to break. As horrible as it sounds, there are people out there who are willing to steal from the troops. Last night, just before a big shipment was planned to go out, some criminal broke the lock to the location where we were storing about 400 care packages. The thieves didn't take them all, but they stole about $5,000 worth of packages that were meant for the troops in Afghanistan. You have to ask yourself, what kind of a heartless person would steal from a non-profit organization...

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. - Bob Williams calls it "modern-day piracy." A few months ago, an anonymous donor gave a large expensive boat to Support the Troops, a charity Williams runs that takes donations and sends them to troops serving overseas. Williams made plans to use the boat, being stored on the east coast of Florida, to generate money for his charity. The charity houses thousands of boxes at its warehouse in Wesley Chapel, waiting to be sent overseas. However, the charity struggles to generate enough money to pay for postage.

LIBERAL PROF CALLS CARE PACKAGE DRIVE "SHAMEFUL" LIBERAL PROF CALLS CARE PACKAGE DRIVE "SHAMEFUL"Yesterday news broke that a well-known Massachusetts professor by the name of Michael Avery, who teaches at Suffolk University School of Law, complained in an e-mail to school officials that it was SHAMEFUL to collect care packages for troops serving overseas. Students, troop supporters and military families alike were horrified by his comments. But the best way to react to this man's hateful comments is to do exactly what he argues for us NOT to do...SUPPORT OUR TROOPS.Don't let our troops get slandered - respond by supporting the troops even stronger and send...

This song and video, written, performed, and recorded by fellow FReeper "Quill Pen", is a tribute to America and those who risk their lives to keep America free. From the chorus: It's A Free Country, where dreams come true 'Cause once you've tasted freedom, a cage will never do. It's A Free Country, as long as we live and breath So don't tread on me, no, don't tread on me It's A Free Country. I encourage you to check the song video out on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOx9GOmdqhA
