Powerful, cogent, The truth. Unless something drastic is done, political correctness grow even more. In Britain, the police are now to use "new speak" to avoid the terms "Asian" and "Black". It is "Visible Ethnic Minorities".

I search for a decisive counter to this disease (PC). Alas Canadians do not have the sense of humour, that likely has died in England. One day, I hope someone in the United States will start a huge horse laugh against PC. If that happens, the humourless, doctrinaire elite both in government and on the campus, will shrivel.

If it was'nt so deadly, PC could be the biggest joke, since cartoonist Tom Nast plastered Tamany Hall. Circa 1900. The seasons best to all.

The average person doesn't know what Marxism is. We need to reduce it to a sentence or two, without making it seem innocuous.

Actually, Ovid, Catullus, and Propertius were the originators of the sentiment and I think the phrase, "Make love, not war." But Marcuse gave it new life. As with "Carpe diem," there's an earlier history.

Virgil had already staked out the territory of heroic epic poetry. So the elegiac poets took what was left, namely love, feasting, and decadence.

The rich patron of Propertius told him he wanted some epic poetry because he was tired of love poetry. Propertius answered: "OK, perform some heroic deeds and I'll write an epic about it." His patron declined.

The liberal left never tell the STUPID American public who they are, and who is behind the leftist agenda, and their long term goals. They call their organizations a very good neutral patriotic names, and hence, the STUPID American public never suspects their dirty hands.

Absolutely right.

"People for the American Way" = Destroy the careers of conservative judges.

"Human Rights Campaign" = Gay marriage.

To self: Thomas Nast 1840-1902. Created the Republican Party symbol- The Elephant. Much earlier than 1900, I believe in the 1870's onward. He helped destroy a powerful political machine, Tammany Hall. His cartoons were the "greatest".

The title is

I'd bet the sole purpose of this film is to get the F word into a mainstream movie title, and like most of what comes out of Hollywood these days, it's probably worthless junk.

There is a strong undercurrent in these companies. The employees realize that indoctrination does no real service in terms of profit and loss, but can in fact put unqualified persons in positions of power solely for the ability of the company to list various minorities in management positions and gain favor in the federal procurement process thereby.

I would never spend the money to goes to such a movie. However, the popular media has affected the week will of my wife, and my son, they went to see it Friday, they hated it. They wasted my money, but at least I was happy to say I told you so!

Actually, Ben Stiller's name in the original meet the parent was Focker. Hollywood takes anything that worked and try to drive it to the ground, by sequel that never works as the original. I loved the original.

It is the great disease of our century, the disease that has left tens of millions of people dead in Europe, in Russia, in China, indeed around the world.

I had the good fortune to spend Christmas Day with a friend who grew up in the Czech Republic when it was under the domination of the Communists -- indeed, she spent time in jail in college.

We were discussing all the hulla-ballo over Christmas customes this year, and shw told us that that is how it started in Czechoslovakia. First they changed Christmas trees to Winter trees and then, one by one, eliminated all Czech customs that had anything to do with religion.

We must recognized that the Judeo-Christian ethic of our founding Fathers is under seige and we must fight back, lest we become another Godless nation doomed to fail.

A good post, except for the line about the JOOOOOOS. Yes there were and are many Jewish Marxists. But let's not forget that the grandaddy of political correctness was an I-talian named Antonio Gramsci. His goal was to divide society into two groups. The oppressed and the oppressors.

So if you're a a hetrosexual, white, Christian, male who earns a good living, you are automatically a member of five oppressor groups. Whereas if you are a gay, female, black, Buddhist who is earning minimun wage, you are automatically a member of five oppressed groups. This is why in a country like the US where 95% of the population is Christian, the oppressor majority must bend over backwards to show sensitivity to oppressed 5% who are not Christian, by substituting the word "holiday" for "Xma" wherever possible.

P.S. This is my first post of FR. I'm a moron. I've been an avid reader of FR for well over a year and I never bothered to visit the homepage. I assumed that there was a yearly membership. Duh?? Oh well, gotta make up for lost time. A belated Merry Xmas and Happy Hannukah to all you wonderful freepers.
