Like the organization of the same name, let's move America forward. That's like Brownback saying he'd issue an apology for slavery in America.

Pelosi-Murtha plan in action. Starve the military by limiting supply routes.

I don’t know how you get to the point where you hate your country so much. I do know, this is the face of pure evil.

This is a flank attack on the US mititary.

The intent is to create problems for a military that is winning.

The real war in America is with the leftists. They are the true American enemies. If you are a Democrat, you are the enemy.

Thank you Nancy Pelosi.

It was clearly genocide.

Given the fact that the resolution addresses several dozen actions of the American government, dating back to the time of the slaughter, and including reduction of aid to Turkey, I don't think there's a reason the US needs to be officially addressing it again today.

Mixed feelings. If it was genocide by fair historical standards, then we shouldn’t back away from labeling it as such. But why this controversy NOW? That’s what bothers me.

I heard on a conservative talk show this morning that 90% of the supplies going to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan go through Turkey. This is just another lame attempt by the liberal left to cut off the military’s supply chain. I really don’t think the libs care the slightest bit about the Armenian massacre during WWI. Why else did they wait until NOW to bring it up?

Yes, what they did to the Armenians during WWI was wrong, but that was 90 years ago and those who did that are dead and gone. The current government does not massacre Armenians and in fact is one of our few ME allies. Just why Congress is bring this up NOW is beyond me. Are they going to breeze through history and label every event like this? I think we can tell right from wrong (and left), and we don’t need Congress to do it for us. The current Turkish government is not that of the 1910s and we shouldn’t be turning our allies against us. But since the Dems can’t get the troops to withdraw, they have no choice...

Pelosi hasn’t screwed up foreign policy since her visit to Syria. It’s time for another amateurish attempt to circumvent the Bush administration.

I am confused as I was in Armenia about 10 years ago and there is a park that Turkey paid for as an apology for the genocide.

It was built between WWII and the cold war.

To me Armenia accepting this park defused the issue and the only thing a person bringing it up now is to get more money or power!

“Turkey recalled its ambassador to the United States in response to a House resolution that uses the word ‘genocide.’”

I guess the truth hurts.

Another truth is that it was a bipartisan resolution.

Turkey needs us more than we need them. Shame on Bush for putting mollification of the Turkish government over doing the right thing.

Since when do we, patriotic Americans, speak less than the truth? Islamic Turks in power killed minority Christian Armenians.
It may be inconvenient for the Administration in Washington at the moment, but do those lives and souls merit our attention>?
Please give me a credulous reason why this matter was not addressed more than 50 years ago?

has you considered why they are passing this bill right now?? it seems absurd, why do something to deliberately annony an ally in the WOT?? - that’s precisely the reason!!! they couldn’t pass a surrender bill, now they’re passing a bill to get rid of an american ally.

There exists today terrible conditions for tens of thousands as the result of the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan. What about them?

We cannot forget about 90 years ago but what about today?

What about the the rights of Azeris uprooted from the Armenia-occupied territory of Azerbaijan? What is Armenia doing to help today's victims? By the U.N. definition of genocide would those ethnic Azerbaijan people being uprooted and booted out be victims of "genocide?" Much smaller scale than the W.W.I horrific events. I am sure the Azeris see the difference and feel real good about it. Not!

In total in the South Caucasus I believe that there are some 800,000 displaced persons. Plenty of work to do about today as well as sorting out events of almost one hundred years ago. IMO.
