LAKE LYNN, Pa. -- An 85-year-old great-grandmother from Lake Lynn, Fayette County kept an alleged burglar at bay using a .22-caliber pistol.
According to police, a 17-year-old suspect was attempting to burglarize Leda Smith overnight.
That's when Smith grabbed her gun and told the teen that she would shoot him if he moved, police said.
"I had the gun on him before he turned around and said, 'you've had it,' " Smith told Channel 11-News.
According to police, Smith ordered the boy to dial 911 and then gave him some advice.
"Dial 911 and don't attempt to throw the phone at me, or do anything bad or i'll just shoot you," Smith said.
When police arrived, they took the teen into custody.
Charges have been filed against the boy and an alleged accomplice.

(This shows you what women used to be like. Very Few made like this one any more.)

Or the cartoon Maxine.
There ya go. It has good info on which states allow what also.
Good enough for Mossad
Police arrived and took him into custody for burglary, domestic assault and terroristic threat
When seconds count help is only minutes away.
Gun packin granny salute!
Now that was funny! Seems the 'bitter' strawman is almost as ubiquitous as the 'class envy' strawman this election year! And perhaps even more transparent! Granny might disagree with you, I'm betting she had a great sense of humor!
Son, when you try to rob a lady five times your age, and she not only gets the drop on you, but forces you to call 911 to get yourself arrested...it’s probably time for you to find another line of work.
Glad to hear it, that caliber needs support. People were asking Remington to resume production a few years ago, due to the big splash made by the .17HMR, but Big Green wasn't interested in supporting their own products. In 2006, I bought some spare parts for my Remington 591M from Numrich (bolt head, etc.); I intended to have the 5mm Craig centerfire conversion done using the spare bits and preserving the originals.
I set the project aside for a while due to my packing and moving to a new home. When I recently went to check into it again, I found out about the new Aguila-sourced rimfire ammo. I may still buy the centerfire parts, cases and loading dies, but it's nice to see the ammo back on the market. IIRC, CZ has committed to offering a bolt-action rifle in 5mm this coming year.
Bless her courage!
Thanks for the ping. Granny ping.

Yep, the weapon you got is the one that gets the job done!
Not sure about the download part, but I clipped the URL http://www.wpxi.com/videofiles/17225193/playlist.asx and opened it in WinMedia Player v11 and it played with no problem.
No, guess that isn’t a photo of me, it is of the gun.
The last one did not get threatened, a week or so ago, I heard banging, woke up and a stranger was in my front yard, banging on his flat tire, trying to take it off.
I asked what he was doing and he said “ I had a flat and thought I could get a tire here”.........I was still asleep and it did not dawn on me what he was doing.
He was stealing my spare from the pickup.
He quickly drove off on his flat, but the spare to my pickup was left in the driveway, LOL, I caught him before he got it on.
