Felt it at 8:05 AM here in Taiwan. Building swayed a bit.
Exactly where are you in Taiwan?
Gads I miss that place.
You wake up on the wrong side of the bed?
The latter, I would expect.
We felt it here in Reno. The one armed bandits started spilling out silver dollars, and I got to grab me some, until the security guys showed up, and guess what, they all too started filling their pockets themselves. I walked out of there rich, anyhow.
We live ten miles from the lower portion of the infamous San Andreas fault here in the California desert -- and it's been getting a bit uppity of late.
The state did it's version of Obamacare regarding earthquake insurance also.........regulated all the private providers into a state of non-competitiveness, so we're hosed.
Two months ago, at renewal with an insurer, we had an option of renewing at a premium of $1700 -- which wouldn't kick in until we'd had $85,000 worth of destruction -- or the State Fund, at a premium of "only" $1000 or so, and a deductible of "only" 40K.
Two of the greatest liberty spots in the world..circa 1960’s..
Naha Okinawa—along with White Beach, Village #1,2, 3 etc and don’t forget Crossroads....
Formosa also great at the time..Kaoshung #1,
all of Japan ichi ban and of course, one of the greatest Olangapo PI.
Ah the sweet memories of youth of a Westpac Warrior....
Although I spent most of my time in Taipei, I really enjoyed Taiwan, too. I really enjoyed being able to walk ‘most anywhere at night — and I found the nighttime “street markets” to be a real treat...
Sansia , about 20 miles south of Taipei
Aftershock from the one last week???
