A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Alaska shows Republican Joe Miller with 35% support and Murkowski, the incumbent senator he defeated in the states GOP Primary now running as a write-in candidate, with 34% of the vote. Democrat Scott McAdams runs third with 27%. One percent (1%) prefers another candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
The race remains Solid Republican in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings because if Murkowski wins she is expected to caucus with the GOP in the Senate.

Maybe she is a "WITCH!"... (cleaning glasses, raised eyebrow)..
She looks like one.
Instead of focusing on Delaware, we need to be pouring that money into AK. Joe Miller is a solid Conservative and would be a great asset to the Senate. You don’t get much better than he is.
Seriously, you know how conservative Alaska is. I only know a couple of Repubs who voted for Lisa and now they won't even speak her name.
What spooks me is how the Anch & Fairbnks papers are attacking Miller with something new everyday. Some real crap they are pulling. Trying to get people to thinking no way Miller can ever win; that's their game.
But ya know, my better judgment tells me that on election day, Joe Miller will prove up and show all the nae sayers wrong. Miller has 4 votes from my family and a few more from the Indians I have convinced.
WE haven't had any snow yet either.
“A write-in candidate has been elected to the U.S. Senate twice. William Knowland in 1946 in a special election (with no pre-printed names on the ballot), and Strom Thurmond in 1954,”
Yeah, but, people could still read and write back then. :)
I mentioned on a different thread this morning that on KENI, all the news items about Miller are negative, while all those for Daddy’s Little Princess are upbeat and optimistic. No bias there.
Can anyone explain what is happening on the ground up there? WHy all of a sudden is Miller losing?
The momentum is with her, but clearly he’s the better candidate.
In other words he’s starting to unravel.
Food stamps unconstitutional? How about Income Tax, or Social Security?
I don’t know if this would be legal, but if I were her, I’d start dispersing stickers with her name on them. The voter takes them into the ballot booth and simply pastes the sticker onto unlisted name. Write ins would be really rather easy.
I’m concerned that Miller is losing it because maybe he might not be the best candidate. On paper he looks great, but why isn’t he beating her soundly?
On the other hand, he won the primary fair and square. Republicans in Alaska should rally around him, they’re not because of her.
SAme with Castle. WE beat ourselves up, each time.
They want freebies.
I don’t know why she is pulling this childish nonsense.
Generally speaking, if the press favors a candidate, its usually the one you don’t want. I won’t even use the ADN to light my wood stove!
This is sickening news. How the hell can this be happening?
God love ya Eska.....
It’ll be funny if the Democratic candidate can’t even finish in second place.
I know the feeling. I won't even use it to line Buster's cage. I buy packing paper instead. LOL!
That's easy. She's pulling it because she believes she is ENTITLED TO THE FAMILY SEAT. It's as simple as that. Her daddy GAVE her that seat, so it's hers, and nobody else better try to sit in it.
You are delusional.
Sorry I did not assume that Alaska was the only state that does this nor do I care quite frankly....we are going to need Alaska extremely someday when there is no more oil but in Alaska. Every state is important of course.
Buona giornata!
