Show birth certificate, or don't get on ballot (Eligibility storm clouds on horizon for Obama)
WND ^ | NOVEMBER 17, 2010 | Bob Unruh

A Texas state lawmaker has filed a bill that would require candidates for president or vice president to show their birth certificates to the secretary of state before being allowed on the ballot, and the measure could become effective as early as next year if adopted and signed into law.

The move by Rep. Leo Berman, R-Tyler, renews the threat to a second Oval Office term for Barack Obama that was posed last year when the state House in Arizona actually adopted the requirement, but the session ended before the Senate acted.

Berman's legislation, House Bill 295, is brief and simple:

It would add to the state election code the provision: "The secretary of state may not certify the name of a candidate for president or vice-president unless the candidate has presented the candidate's original birth certificate indicating that the person is a natural-born United States citizen."

It includes an effective date of Sept. 1, 2011, in time for the expected presidential campaigning for 2012.

I just figured his original BC on file in Hawaii was “corrected” or replaced (because of the adoption). On top of that he never changed his name back. Is there a law against that ?

Were the Chrysler lawyers or Gerald Walpin? The Obama administration has been manhandling and threatening people from day one. Remember the “The only thing standing between the AIG execs and the pitchforks is me”?

From what I’ve been able to read, seems like that would be targeted for Fox would be whether somebody could own both FNC and the Wall Street Journal, for instance. Anti-monopoly, anti-corporation kind of stuff, and with the dems in full control of Congress and the White House those would not be vain threats.

I personally suspect there may have been more to the threats also. I suspect that the electronic run on the bank in Sept 2008 was a shot into the air just to show the potential spoilers that Soros and the Islamists could take the entire world economy hostage any time they wanted. Or that they had their economic gun pointed at America’s head while telling the strategic people (media, judges, Cheney, McCain/Palin, Hillary, Biden, etc) that they would pull the trigger unless their demands were met.

When I think of all the people who seem to have betrayed all the ideals that they stood for, it’s mind-boggling. When I look at the clues left behind, I suspect that most if not all of these leaders have acted against their own will because something else forced them to. Soros has made his fortune by preying on vulnerable economies. He has aligned himself with the Islamists in order to bring down America and capitalism, since he’s afraid America will win the war on terror and thus keep America and capitalism strong.

Well, I don’t have time to go into all of it right now since I need to get ready for youth group, but there’s a lot of stuff that lines up and makes sense - stuff that we’ve all been scratching our heads over - if Soros and the Islamists planned that “crisis” and used it as proof to “convince” strong conservative leaders that they had no option but to go along with the Obama coup. Those leaders may have protested in the only way they could, just to ease their own consciences. I personally think when all this is said and done, Dick Cheney is going to come out of it the hero. But we’ll see.

GW Bush is not a chicken-hearted person. He told the terrorists to make his day. And with the whole world against him he showed that he meant business. Yet after the financial crisis he was saying that the entire western world as we know it would come to an end if they didn’t pass TARP. We went months without TARP and nothing bad happened. But GW was speaking in apocalyptic terms. Something had scared the tar out of him.

Somebody who could scare the tar out of GW could more than likely also scare the tar out of Ailes and Murdoch. Possibly using the same threat. While a person could stand to see their company go down the tubes, to potentially spark the annihilation of the entire world economy is a bigger burden than most people are willing to be responsible for - especially if they think we could just wait out 4 years and the threat would be gone.

Obama has no chance of winning Texas, so not being on the ballot there won't hurt him in the general.

Not being on the TX ballot would raise eyebrows throughout the country. Would destroy his chances.

His excuse would be “It’s an unjust law. I’m running a write-in campaign.”

Ah, youth ... if you can’t tell how World Nut Daily is questionable all on your own, nothing I can say will open your eyes.

(BTW, I’m a girl, and have been here roughly eight years longer than you. I’m not sure why questioning an insane source would get me labeled a Democrat.)

Where on earth are you getting this crap? I haven’t voted for a Democrat in my entire life.

Here’s a hint: for an insult to be effective, it needs to carry a germ of truth. If not, it just sounds like, well, insane ranting.

However, if you feel like it, continue ranting. I’ll just ping a few of my buddies because they deserve a good laugh.

Okay, now you’re just being cute.

BTW, I was unaware that Medved, Hewitt, Boortz, and O’Reilly are women.

The executives then basically told their on-air personalities that their careers, their health, and potentially the lives of them and their family members would be jeopardized if they said anything about the issue (the threats were over very specific subjects, including the birth certificate, Indonesian records, oath of loyalty, etc).

ROFLOL!!!

I call BS!!!

No offense, Frantzie, but you don't know what the hell you are talking about.

Xena not only vehemently opposes Obama, she'll also kick the crap out of you.

And smile.

See, this is typical of birthers.

I say "one flaw" as there are many. This is only an example of one.

I have said since his election that he woudl not run again if we kept up the pressure .. if he has to provide a birth certificate he will leave the white house before his term ends.

That was my prediction and I am sticking with it.
He will not stay the entire 4 years in office.

I agree, I have never heard a fundamentally sound argument why they have ignored the situation but I have drawn one conclusion for myself.

Seeing how the congress is run as a two party system and their approval ratings have been the lowest in quite some time. By making an issue of this, they may well have actually forced the issue and made Obama spit up the BC or failed to do so to continue hiding what he is but it being a REAL issue to more Americans than it is.

With that being done, people would logically have questioned the congress as to why he was not vetted properly and had an even greater distrust pf the government.

It may have completely gridlocked the government or crashed the two party system since republicans are as guilty as democrats in this issue. (Democrats may not have vetted Obama, but republicans were complacent at best, a party to it at worst).

The entire political system could have been destroyed. It may have just been in the interest of keeping the country from open revolt.

It is all I can think of .. if anyone has a clearer explanation or theory I am all ears.

>.or something VERY embarrassing on it.<

In one interview (of Berg I believe) he stated that one of Obama’s lawyers said something to the effect that Obama was a NBC but the exposure of his long form would reveal something very embarrassing about him that he would rather keep private.

I can see that, but the way around it is simply to produce the long form in camera in the judges chambers with the defense attorney and Berg. Let Berg (or whoever has brought the suit) verify the long form and then bar the lawyers from disclosure.

The lawyer who filed would have to come out and say, I saw it, he meets the standard. Other than that i can not say anything due to a court order for Obama’s privacy. The judge would be there who could verify the situation and everyone would be satisfied.

But keeping it hidden this long, spending 2 million dollars + - I am beginning to think it is more than simply embarrassing.

>I hope people wake up and realize that the democrat party doesn’t just need to be out of power, it needs to be destroyed. Pursued with RICO cases and totally destroyed along with the academic infrastructure they’ve built with tax money over the past forty years.<

I have maintained that the democratic party is dead and has been for a while. The socialists took it over because they were most ideologically aligned with democrats. But truly the democratic party now is nothing more than the socialist party that could never get elected under that particular banner.

The problem is that people like McCain who was questioned on his eligibility was complacent in his failure to demand that Obama undergo the same senate approval of eligibility he had. Republicans should have challenged this from the beginning but did not.

Even now, McCain would probably be granted standing if he challenged this in court. So why doesn’t he?
He is the only one who probably can have standing at tis point. I was very dissappointed in him after being such a war hero to have caved into such an obvious enemy of our country. What happened to his oath to protect and defend?

>I wonder what Obama’s explanation would be for not being on the ballot.<

I doubt that he would give one. Site health reasons, family problems .. something. But not run.
