Why did Herman even show up to the debate?
Vanity | 8/11/2011 | Self

Watching the debate is painful. Why did Herman Caine even show up? The interviewers refuse to even ask him a question. For that matter - I almost forgot Newt was even there.

They are spending all their time setting up a Pawlenty/Bachman slugfest... throwing bones to Romney and Santorum. Of course, Ron Paul manages to make sure he doesn't get ignored.

Update - they finally asked Caine a real question.

Byron York’s “question” for Bachmann was disgraceful.

Cain has no shot. He shouldn’t show up. He shouldn’t even be running. It’s beyond quixotic. At least he isn’t as ridiculous as Alan Keyes, but that isn’t saying much. But don’t worry. Tonight’s debate is totally irrelevant so it doesn’t really matter.

They could have just used Paul’s taped responses from the last election.

He’s pretty much right on fiscal issues but good Lord he’s out to lunch on everything else.

Worst/lamest questions I can ever remember being asked at any televised political debate. Really embarrassing for FNC.

“Why did Herman even show up to the debate?”

Because with the few questions he does get to answer he blows everyone else out of the water?

Even worse than the questions are the idiots they have during the breaks. Who are these people and why do Republicans care what they think?

You must have missed the "Pepsi or Coke" questions at the last debate.

Byron York is a worthless little fag. Get a haircut you tool. Hitting Bachmann with that question was absolutely ridiculous. Where are the real questions and follow ups for Mittens. Bachmann answers the debt ceiling question and then the dopes asking the questions whine about what the so called experts think. WTF.

This may as well be done by MSNBC.

Wow! A little snarky about Keyes, are we not?

I would invite you to listen to any of the 2004 Senate debates between Keyes and Obama and tell me where exactly was the breaking point where Keyes ‘should not have even bothered to show up’.

I’m not even a really big Cain fan either.

We need more “people” debates and not these pamper-room media controlled, timed and self centered episodes.

Without a doubt he is a very intelligent man. The unfortunate aspect of his candidacy is the deafening silence that he is greeted with by the national media.

FOX is backing Romney, but only because Chris Christie hasn’t made his move yet.

Cain, Bachmann, Gingrich and even Romney - predictably as they probably fed him the questions in advance, came across well.

Ron Paul was fine until he started talking about foreign policy.

Santorum, Huntsman, and especially Pawlenty, came across as shallow, and grasping.

Watching this ; and I want Newt. Beyond that, have to say there is only ONE candidate up there that I would deem, a most incompatible choice for Prez. and that is Ron Paul.
