The 16 Senate Republicans who think the 2nd Amendment is up for debate
The Hill ^ | Jonathan Easley and Ramsey Cox

Sixteen Republicans voted in favor of the motion, while two Democrats — both from states President Obama lost in the 2012 election — voted against it. The two Democrats were Sens. Mark Begich (Alaska) and Mark Pryor (Ark.), both of whom face reelection next year.

The 16 Republicans who voted to proceed were Sens. Lamar Alexander (Tenn.), Kelly Ayotte (N.H.), Richard Burr (N.C.), Saxby Chambliss (Ga.), Tom Coburn (Okla.), Susan Collins (Maine), Bob Corker (Tenn.), Jeff Flake (Ariz.), Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Dean Heller (Nev.), John Hoeven (N.D.), Johnny Isakson (Ga.), Mark Kirk (Ill.), John McCain (Ariz.), Pat Toomey (Pa.) and Roger Wicker (Miss.). Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) missed the vote.

Liars, traitors, fools and whores.

Not necessarily in that order...

First off, Mark Kirk (IL) is not a Republican. Oh, he ran as a Republican, and has an R after his name, but his voting record is to the left of many Democrats. Trust me on this: If he gets a Republican challenger when he comes up for re-election he will switch parties and run as a Dim. That’s if he doesn’t change parties before then (ala Arlen Spector).

There really is no difference at all between Mark Kirk and Dick Durbin. They are just twin sons of different mothers.

It was suggested on another blog that this could be a political chess move.

Gee. I've never heard that lame excuse for Republican betrayal before.

Get real. These GOP creeps want to disarm us as much as their Democrat pals do.

The only strategy they have to come up with is how to piss on the rank-and-file Republicans and have the rubes believe it's rain.

Heck it might become necessary in 2016.

Am seeing lots of increasing signs that Texas is getting ready. Give Texas our gold back, flipping nobama the bird, Perry pushing all the right buttons.

ha. wonder if maybe Texas might still split itself into 5 “conveniently sized states” (and thusly send a total of 10 to the US Senate)? it is in the admission to statehood agreement

The Republicans are actively trying to weed out conservatives. Obviously, we as conservatives have no voice anymore and this vote just proves it.

Time for a third party.

Wherever you find republicans bending over for democrats you will find the three mouseketeers.

Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Pat Toomey.

And wherever you find Lindsey Graham and John McCain you will also find Kelly Ayotte.

I hate that she has picked those two to hook her wagon to!
