They discovered the body of Alexander’s Father Phillip in a large chamber in Macedonia. I can’t recall if it was in Pella or not.

Has the grave of his mother Olympias ever been found? If not, I’m guessing this is it.

Why go through all that when you can visit the grave of a greater man?

Phillip’s grave was in a place called Verginia, which I’m guessing is close to Pella.

Have scientists discovered the long lost tomb
of Obama the wonderful? Hero of the Syrian war,
combiner of all higher education, before he burned
all the manuscripts?

I suppose it could be true, is there a wizend blond
crone buried under the throne? If so it’s his vizier
state secretary Clinton.

It will be interesting to see, regardless whose monument this is.

They dipped Alex in a casket of honey, hmmm. I think I would prefer Horatio Nelson’s dunking in a barrel of rum. (He got out thrice to pee.)
If that’s Alexander’s tomb, this is Hugh.

IIRC, Alexander the Great was a Great Warrior, and a homosexual. Many soldiers and warriors were. For muscular men with raging hormones, women were rarely available except after an invasion (rape and pillage of a village).

He was not , however a faggot. A queer. Being homosexual (expecially in the dedicated warriors group) was considered normal. Besides, whose gonna question a guy who could cut you in half just for looking at him wrong?

The point is that Alex never made his homosexuality (or anyone else’s) an issue.

The problem with modern homosexuals is that they are being promised special considerations, a springboard to power, and a chance to make heterosexuals literally kiss their ass.

They, like the negroes, are being used by the wealthy and powerful to play chess with the world’s resources and land.

They are being promised much, as long as they destroy the unity and soul of the nation.

What they don’t know, is when the takeover is made public, they will be lined up against the wall and shot.

IIRC Alexander was encased in honey and then his body was on display in Alexandria well into Roman times. Many ancient writers visited and saw it.

This new tomb might be that of a major figure, but is therefore not likely to be Alex’s.

Actually, women were nearly always available. They were the camp followers who served as washer women, and in other roles.

That could easily be the case. Just like today, not all the wealthy and powerful are known publicly. There are many more graves than there are heroes.

I read an article about a year ago claiming that there's no real evidence that Alexander was gay.

That was the first time I'd heard that. It was pretty convincing.
