I base my assessment on certain personal attributes, historical knowledge, past achievements directly relevant to POTUS (job/position), sound and complex problem solving & decision making abilities, making the right & timely decision under extreme pressure. I know it all sounds very pedantic & perhaps hard to find in one candidate. BUT..
Back in 2008 I thought Obi wanted a ‘career development opportunity’, and I think Trump wants the same now.
The POTUS is not a career development or on-the-job-training opportunity.

Oh, please. Trump inherited multi-millions and thousands of NYC properties from his father. Krauthammer was paralyzed in an accident while in medical school, completed his degree in psychiatry despite the setbacks, then became a syndicated columnist. Whatever you think of either's positions, only Charles has actually had to work for his success.

I agree! Years ago, I thought he knew what he was talking about. When he came out against Palin, I started ignoring him.
The icing on the ignore button came when Krauthammer repeatedly omitted Cruz from any mention on FNC. It was as if Cruz hadn't announced. Talk was only about Rubio and Jebby. UGH!

Trump has gone off the deep end already. Could be the shortest presidential campaign in history.
So far, everything he has said I agree with. His absolute lack of political correctness is a joy to my ears.

You are right, but the media has the effect of magnifying, multiplying what is said, like the rippling effect of throwing a pebble in a pond and it takes off and is self-perpetuating. You’ll note the concept of Trump’s ego, and the word “clown” that is bandied about. I’ve noticed people mindlessly parroting that. As a poster here pointed out, politicians have been going to Trump to obtain his endorsement - they didn’t think he was a clown then. Liberals to this day still like to dismiss MacArthur as an egotist. As for ego, Trump has nothing on Teddy Roosevelt, and I think he was a successful president. The first Bush had a dust up with Dan Rather and everybody loved it. When Trump stands up he is accused of being thin-skinned.
