I doubt he’ll be president.

Really? He defeated the unions, which is like defeating the mafia, and that’s a nothing burger? Not in my book.

I didn’t say defeating the unions in WI was a bad thing. Walker is about as exciting as a flea circus. He puts me to sleep and I’m an avid republican. He’s also BS’ing on amnesty and he wants the Patriot Act back.

Up on a stage with Hillary Clinton Walker is going to lose just because he’s well dull. He will not aggressively attack her and to be fair most of the others won’t either. It will be Mitt Romney all over again.

Nobody’s “my guy” at this point. So far I like everything I’ve heard Trump say, especially on immigration and trade, and I wish the others were saying it. But I’m not sure I trust him, yet. I intend to keep an open mind and see how things shake out.

I really just don’t see what his marital history has to do with it. I think some people’s anti-Trump knee jerk reactions are over the top. But then everything about the Donald is “yuge”. ;~)

Trump inherited about 10 million an turned it into 9 billion. He certainly had a head start, but if you think that didn’t take hard work you’re nuts.

That’s exactly what I want in a leader, DULL. I’m not looking for a ‘rock star partying president’. I’m not looking for a POTUS to entertain me. I want an executive that will roll up their sleeves and stay late at the office getting the work done. I’m a registered ‘unaffiliated’ and I will pay close attention to what ALL of these people say and their past works and deeds before ANY of them get my support.

Oh really? And what have you built in the last few decades? Below is an extensive list of Trump properties. Remember the old saying, “Nothing comes from Noting”?

Forbes doesn't have his net worth anywhere near 9 billion. Some sources have his father's fortune valued up to 400 million. Whatever the actual value to think he only inherited 10 million is ludicrous.

He has until the end of June to file with the FEC. He will also have to file full financial disclosure. By filing for the proper extensions he can string that out close to the end of the year.

His statements/claims in business and politics have been all over the map. Why anyone would still believe anything this bombastic fraud says is beyond me.

In case you didn’t hear, Karl Rove has expressed regret for the Bush team being so passive and not fighting back. Of course he couldn’t responded to all the haters. No one has suggested that he should have, just the main ones.

Karl Rove is at the bottom of my political totem pole. I am sick of his elitist control freak ‘I know better than you little people’ attitude. I sure Karl has a lot of regrets about a lot of things and I also sure he will be shoving Jeb down everyones throats as hard as he can. Jeb is just as much a non-starter as the Hildabeast.

He’s filed corporate (not personal) bankruptcy at least four times, decimating the investments of myriad people attracted to the Trump name and persona.

From your link:

"In 1995 Trump took Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts Inc. public and received a substantial financial boost from society and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations that enable the market to function. He initially sold 10 million shares at $14 per share and then in 1996 sold 13.25 million shares at $32.50 a share. This initial public offering granted Trump’s company a stability and legitimacy that would have been impossible without millions of people around the world trusting his organization and investing with the hope of shared success.

Despite the clear societal and governmental assistance described above, Trump continues to be outspoken in his criticism of government."

This Obama/Warner author (you didn't build that) defines “societal” as individuals purchasing shares of stocks. Excuse me, but that is the risk that particular individual is willing to take. In addition the quote from your article supports the Obama/Warner/Pelosi/Ried tax policy. Are you sure you belong on FreeRepublic?

"Perhaps more disturbing than his hypocritical condemnation of the government is his failure to acknowledge anyone’s contributions, save his own, in the creation of his success. At the 2011 Conservative Political Action Conference, Trump made clear his feelings on the creation of his wealth: “Over the years I’ve participated in many battles and have really almost come out very, very victorious every single time. I’ve beaten many people and companies, and I’ve won many wars. I have fairly but intelligently earned many billions of dollars, which in a sense was both a scorecard and acknowledgment of my abilities.” Furthermore, Trump apparently sees no benefit in supporting taxes to maintain institutions such as the Securities and Exchange Commission to regulate the stock market, in which he publicly trades his company, or the court system, which actively protects his property rights: “We are the highest taxed nation—I would tax foreign countries that are ripping off the US and lower taxes for Americans.”"

I don't endorse the political views expressed in the article. I cited it to provide an antidote to the idea that Trump is a self-made man whose personal story would be fitting for a Horatio Alger novel. He inherited a huge fortune from his father, and then he ran the real estate company formed from that fortune into bankruptcy at least four times. I don't doubt his ability to raise money from investors, many of whom lost small fortunes doing so. They willingly took the risks, and many suffered the consequences. That's capitalism. What I do doubt is Trump's ability to provide winning, conservative leadership in a national political setting.

Maybe you'd like this article from the National Review, instead?

I stand by my original post that Trump “is a guy who was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple.”

Get a wheelchair Donald, you can’t walk with both feet in your mouth and it’s even harder to run.
