Yay! We awl luvs a crayz. But seriously - it is appealing when a guy just calls it like he sees it. Not sure I want that as prez though. And his lifestyle does not appeal. But - whatever - no one is perfect!

Trump should be free to say what he wants to say, but a guy who ... is rich, should be questioned.

Are you sure you're on the right forum?

but a guy who has given most of his political gifts to Dems and is rich, should be questioned.

The richest man in my town worth 5 billion or more bucks gave money to the likes of Ed Rendell and Tom Wolf, the last Dem and current Dem governor of PA, plus a former Republican governor, Tom Ridge. This rich guy is registered to vote Republican. Like a lot of the rich folk he just loves Planned Parenthood.

Mr. Trump is in the same league so to speak with the pattern of his contributions, he speaks of between 8 and 9 billion dollars of personal wealth.

I question the rich big time, because the rich seem to be very much for business as usual politics and or liberal politics in the end.

I support the freedom to get rich.

The problem we currently have is that the large corporations and rich have bought the politicians of both big parties to favor their interests over smaller business and individuals who have hopes to get rich.

“CRONY CAPITALISM” AS SARAH PALIN CALLED IT AND ‘CORPORATISM’ AS DEFINED BY NIGEL FARAGE, LEADER OF THE UNITED KINGDOM INDEPENDENCE PARTY

Trump is taking a beating from the corporate elites

Trump IS a corporate elite. LOL. About as corporate and elite as you get. Our primary problems involve leftist governments not businesses. Our leftist communist enemies do hate corporations though.

I think Cruz is quite happy there are so many in the field...in fact I do think that is the plan...

Also it’s very early still...they’re not all up to the gate yet. Christy just arrived. So polls and all that’s going on is nothing but chatter to engage the voter...like before a horse race when everyones chatting about the horses as they arrive.

What patterns of contributions are you talking about?

Giving to politicians?

It’s been solidly proven here on FR that he gives about the same to each side of the aisle.

Considering that he operates primary from a Democrats controlled state, and conducts business primarily in Democrat controlled areas, that’s saying something.

When adjusted for those factors, and the necessity of bribing the politicians to conduct business, Trump gives far more money to Republicans than Democrats.

Bribing of political figures has been proven to be absolutely necessity. Sometimes survival is at stake.

Consider what happened to Microsoft when they didn’t pay the necessary bribes to the Democrats. The declaration of war by Attorney General Janet Reno, and the ensuing brutalization, staggered Microsoft, and the hundreds of thousands of employees who work there.

Gates learned quickly, and now gives billions to Democrats and assorted Leftist causes, including face time from him and his wife.

The corporate elites are building a system that is not what the Founders of these United States of America envisioned.

Trump’s First Amendment rights are being trampled by big business like Univision, NBC, Macy’s and so on. His freedom to speak even as a rich man is not allowed by the big companies.

The big corporations ran from the Confederate flag last week as well. More of the same.

The large corporations intimidated Republicans running Arizona last year and Arkansas and Indiana this year and the GOP leaders and legislators caved on First Amendment protection involving religious freedom and free speech for those who object to gay marriage.

And the list goes on because the trade deals approved by Boehner, McConnell and Obama benefit crony capitalists and big international business at the expense of small business again.

What’s the real end game when our Uniparty politicians are over with Climate Change policy. Its about creating a system of environmental rules, regulations and or taxes that will be easier for larger business to handle than small business.

The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) was a bailout for large insurance companies and hospitals putting up with what Mitt Romney called ‘freeloaders’. More taxpayer dollars and higher health insurance costs with mandatory coverage are creating a huge cash flow for big hospitals and big insurance, not to mention pharma.

The tweet after the SCOTUS decision last week said that ‘hospital stocks jumped’ after the pro-ACA (Obamcare) ruling.

I just take issue with your focus on “corporate elitists” which appears to be an attack on corporations. I would say our main enemy involves big government not corporations and businesses including their CEOs.

Trump is being punished by big corporations for exercising his First Amendment right of free speech and the corporations and their CEO’s like Doug McMillon of Wal Mart and Tim Cook of Apple opposed First Amendment freedom of religion legislation in Arkansas and Indiana earlier this year.

Trump being punished? Hard to feel sorry for a billionaire CEO losing a contract from another CEO. He’s a big boy and can take care of himself.

The root cause of all this is bad government policy not corporations as a group. Sure you can single out specific corporations but in reality almost all of them are pandering and doing what they do so their businesses flourish within the environment shaped by government public policy, MSM, education system etc. One has to look at root causes .. instead of knee jerk attacks on “corporate elites”.

It would be good to have a free market where all business could flourish but the collusion of crony capitalists and government doesn’t allow that.

The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) creates big winners in hospitals and health insurance companies and pharma, whose stocks have soared in recent years.

W Bush helped pharma with subsidies at taxpayer expense for their products in Medicare Part D created to help him win re-election in 2014 with Karl Rove so ecstatic.

Medicare Part D and now the Affordable Care Act, one from a Republican president, the other from a Democrat, take taxpayer dollars, increase our ever soaring national debt ( now 18 trillion dollars) and move this country closer to bankruptcy like Greece.

again until you attack root causes you can't get serious about fixing any of this. When I see the word "corporate" as a focus in an attack I am reminded that this is what leftists and communists attack.
