Donald Trump Overwhelms G.O.P. Rivals From Alabama to Massachusetts
nytimes.com ^ | March 1

Donald J. Trump won sweeping victories across the South and in New England on Tuesday, a show of strength in the Republican primary campaign that underscored the breadth of his appeal and helped him begin to amass a wide delegate advantage despite growing resistance to his candidacy among party leaders.

Mr. Trump’s political coalition — with his lopsided victories in Alabama, Georgia, Massachusetts and Tennessee, and narrower ones in Arkansas and Virginia — appears to have transcended the regional and ideological divisions that have shaped the Republican Party in recent years.

With strong support from low-income white voters, especially those without college degrees, he dominated in moderate, secular-leaning Massachusetts just as easily as he did in the conservative and heavily evangelical Deep South.

Brandishing his Super Tuesday victories as proof of his political might, Mr. Trump said he expected to consolidate the Republican Party behind his campaign.

“I am a unifier,” he told reporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., after the winners of about half the day’s contests had been declared. “Once we get all of this finished, I am going to go after one person: Hillary Clinton.”

What do you think of that, Karl Rove?
Might be time to make nice to the probable nominee, right?

The only state I can think of where Cruz is ahead was Utah. I have not seen a recent poll from there though. I do not know where Rubio is ahead.

Howie Carr(R-Boston Radio) & Jeff Sesions(R- Alabama) are Trump’s two most important backers.

As Americans we seem never learn. We fall for snake oil salesmen time after time. Occasionally we get it right, this is not one of those times.

OK. If you say so.

Are you confident enough to put your money where your mouth is, or are you another paid troll?

What will it be, Buttercup?

Put up or shut up.

He may make nice, but I think Trump is smart enough to never trust him.

With strong support from low-income white voters, especially those without college degrees ............................. LOL, and what does Hillary get? All the Harvard grads and highly educated upper middle class? What a crock of crap to make Hillary’s supporters to think they are on the right end of the bell curve. Now the NYT wants to portray the Republicans as red neck Nascar folks who watch Baby Boo Boo. Oh wait, that’s between attending the KKK rallys and the ANP torch light parades. What you see here is a failure to communicate the truth. Trump is drawing everyone, it isn’t only the Republicans, its fed up Americans sick of talk and no action. Hey Hillary, It’s the Economy Stupid! We don’t want to become another Cuba, Venezuela, or Zimbabwe.

Huh. No markers there. This moron has no clue whatsoever why Trump is winning. I'll bet my score is a good 25 points over his.

He needs to start running against the National-Ex-Wife rather than Senator Cruz or that other guy. He really needs to begin hammering her.

Call her a criminal; give examples with detail. Then get ugly and compare her husband to Bill Cosby

Call her negligent and say that negligence killed ambassador Stevens. Then get ugly and ask if she would have rescued him if he wasn’t gay?

Make TV commercial about the child rapist she happily defended.

Her supporters think that she is honest and competent; Trump needs bait her on these this like he did with the “Schonged” statement. Trump should rub their face in her dishonesty and incompetence.
