EXCLUSIVE: 'Dump Trump' RNC Delegate Leader: We 'Have The 28 Votes' To Unbind Delegates
The Daily Wire ^ | July 10 2016 | Daily Wire

Posted on 07/10/2016 2:32:42 PM PDT by Mechanicos

Over the weekend, The Daily Wire had the opportunity to speak with Kendal Unruh, a member of the Colorado Republican delegation to the Republican National Convention. Unruh is also a member of the Rules Committee at the RNC, and a leading advocate for a vote that would unbind the delegates from the candidates to which their state primaries are pledged.

Unruh explained that "28 committee members are required to pass a minority report, which then goes to the convention floor for all delegates to vote on. It then requires a simple majority to pass." She added that she does "have the 28 votes required for the minority report," continuing, "Not everyone who is with us is willing to be public yet, due in part to the threats being made by Trump's campaign and the RNC itself."

True, but Cruz owns 1/3+ of Trump’s delegates.

These are precisely the people who want to be “free.” Between these faux Trump delegates and the legit Cruz delegates, Trump’s position looks bad.

If this ever happened, it would go down in history as the day the Constitutional government of the US died. They can’t be that dumb, can they?

There will be a ballot down wipe of GOP candidates.

The likes of which the GOP has never experienced.

If there are any shenanigans we all need to post vacation time immediately pack the car and descend on them like nothing they have ever seen.

It's not far from my home in PA to Cleveland and I looked - they have reciprocity for CCW from PA to OH.

Ok but if it gets to a floor vote on the rules change that may be extremely dangerous — all those fake delegates bound to Trump but really pro-Cruz can vote as they please on a rules change, and the estimated 900+ uncommitted delegates are a huge question mark. These are dangerous waters.

These people are no better than liberal activist judges, overturning the will of the people. I don’t care how many votes they have, their stupid rules their committees, it’s all about how the people voted.

Trump received more votes than any presidential primary candidate ever-against 16 opponents. The people have spoken.

These delegates are traitors and need to join the democrat party, where overturning the people is commonplace.

It is illegal to do this. Binding delegates: In most states, party rules or election laws require delegates to be “bound” to support the candidate to whom they were allocated at the national convention. Some delegates, such as those from Massachusetts and Virginia, are only bound to support their candidate through the first round of voting. Delegates from other states are bound to support their candidate through the second and third rounds of voting. A few states, such as New Mexico and Mississippi, have party rules or state laws governing what happens when a delegate votes for a candidate other than the one to whom they are bound.

They think there’s enough delegates on the floor to deny 1237 majority to keep the binding in place. Remember Cruz with the backing of Romney and Bush people were thieving delegates.

The delegates that were placed by Cruz’ staff are not beholden to Cruz.

They are simply solid patriotic conservatives, rather than the wishy-washy libertarians that Trump’s staff were settling for.

I predict that the “committee” is just grasping at straw.

>>Trump needs to be bounced.
I think the coup could happen at the convention. I have no idea who the replacement would be. It would have to be somebody that the establishment and conservatives could coalesce behind. My guess is Rubio.
******************************************************

You say DJT needs to be bounced? Wow.

What kind of traitor supports Tyrants efforts to thwart the Will of the People who have Primary-voted their choice?

Your support to dump Trump does NOT belong on this 100% PRO Trump site.

And replace DJT with Rubio, the Globals’ Boy Toy?
Patriots think NOT!

Actually they probably should worry more about those that would choose not to stay home, and I don’t mean going out to vote.

The Republican Party is committing suicide. In essence I honestly believe them to be a wing of the Democrat Party. Sounds funny but think about it.

I don’t see how they can do this, bound and unbound are determined by state rules
