Davis is spouting opinionated crap for gullible Trump haters and they are lapping it up.

><

Exactly!

The Left always spout crap because they know the ignorant are believing it. They rely on ignorance and hate.

And yet Trump’s DOJ was the one to charge him with the bogus charges and cop the plea. Think about that. Lanny Davis is not a Trial Lawyer, this was always about cutting a GREAT deal and going after Trump.

If a person is pretty smart and willing to do some legal research, hiring an attorney right away in a criminal case may not always be the wisest decision.

When you hire an attorney, keep in mind that your attorney is going to be in no hurry to resolve your case. They will want to milk your case for as much money as possible. You also will not know exactly what your attorney and the prosecutor are discussing. At the very least, you want to be at every meeting and on every call between the two.

If a prosecutor ever pressures you into a plea deal in order to avoid being charges with more serious crimes, speak up when the judge asks you if you were pressured to take a plea, tell the judge “yes”. It will piss of the prosecutor, the judge, and your attorney, but that is their problem. Do that and the shit will hit the fan.

If General Flynn had done just a bit of research, he would have quickly discovered that no one has ever be convicted under that statute, which is very widely considered to be unconstitutional.

The deal Lanny Davis cut for his client was not a good deal.

“Leftists reaction HEY THATS DIFFERENT(Cause Obama had a D next to his name)..notice every time a Commie lib is accused of something the left always says “THATS DIFFERENT, NOT EVEN CLOSE” “

If it weren’t for double standards they’d have no standards at all.

What they promised: treason.
What they hoped for: collusion.
What they’ll settle for: hooker hush money.

He is EXACTLY right

Lanny Davis should be DISBARRED for conning his client into pleading guilty to a non-crime for the political benefit of his original employers the Clintons

Cohen is either being paid to take a dive for the Clintons or he’s just nuts, in either case his “attorney” - the Clinton hack Davis - is screwing him.

“Cohen’s pardon is on the way.”

Don’t hold your breath. Lanny Davis released a statement that Cohen would never accept a pardon from the “corrupt and dangerous” President Trump.

When Cohen is pardoned, he might not be so loquacious.

“Cohen’s pardon is on the way.”

Not that Trump is even interested in a pardon or needs to grant one, but Lanny Davis has already stated that there’s no way Cohen will except a pardon, which shows you that he really has no interest in the well being of his client in all this.

If it’s not a crime, how can he plead guilty to something that doesn’t exist?

Or am I missing some sort of context?

If isn’t a crime the judge can’t sentence him for anything?

Not only that. A crime implicating POTUS was manufactured by the TRUMP DOJ! Hopefully now the “Trump can just fireeSessions/Rosenstein/etc. and everything will be ok” crowd will understand the depth of the Deep State coup in progress.

Yep. I was thinking the same. And the GOPe will not support POTUS against this treason. This is WAR. People have hung for less than this. A LOT less.

I read it that Cohen has to file amended tax returns for those years and it’s my bet that he does no time but pays through the nose for those years. Would he avoid penalties by filing amended returns?

“Lanny Davis has already stated that there’s no way Cohen will except a pardon...”

I’m not quite sure if Cohen can except a pardon, but there is no constitutional provision that details how someone can refuse a pardon.

Once a pardon is granted, it’s a done deal.

That depends on the backroom deal and who is reviewing the amended filings. Pretty sure the IRS has the ability to forgive penalties at will. Plus, penalties probably haven’t been attached at this point because he wasn’t audited or prosecuted, it’s a plea bargain.

Pretty sure fines are up to the judge.

And an example why whoever it was on Trump’s transition team that was charged with vetting AG candidates blew it BIGTIME.

In all fairness, by all accounts Jeff Sessions was held in high regard prior to his nomination. What question would a screener ask someone like Jeff assuming Jeff was willing to lie through his dentures? That said, I've long believed Jeff was the 'insurance policy'. He was getting that AG job come hell or high water.

Yeah - just like in the Soviet Union of old. Though it COULD be that they want that smear out NOW in time to tamper with the fall election cycle, knowing it'll probably be sorted and thrown out on appeal to higher court(s)later anyway. It's obvious they want to generate all the bad news they can get, and fast.
