I wonder if any here read the actual court document stating Cohen’s eight counts. I did.

1-5 are “evasion of assessment of income tax liability”

6 is “false statements to a bank”

7 is “causing an unlawful corporate contribution” (listing a bunch of allegations and actually using the word allegations)

8 is “excessive campaign contribution” (listing a bunch of allegations and actually using the word allegations)

Davis is spouting opinionated crap for gullible Trump haters and they are lapping it up.

Stuff like that happens when you hire an attorney who has had certain political exposure that causes him to smell of farts, urine, and boiled cabbage. In other words, he got very bad advice from a political operative..

Darn those irregular verbs. Past-tense of “plead” is pled (per legal usage) or pleaded (per regular grammar usage). It’s not like “read” which is spelled the same in present or past tense. More like “lead” (not the metal).

It’s easy Mr. President, he was given an offer he couldn’t refuse.

Tweeting ain’t going to get it done. You have the entire American legal system working to destroy you. I suggest you fight back with the power of your position. A good target would be the head of that snake - the DOJ - and you have all that you need to take it out.

Since the matter was not adjudicated, the facts alleged by the 2nd district of New York prostituter are not established as fact. They remain only allegations.

These are not campaign contributions by any stretch of the liberal fascist fantasy land imagination.

Cohen is a wuss, and he’s running scared.

Lets see if Cohen begins to “fabricate” evidence.

Allowing this to stand will set a very dangerous precedent. Prosecutors will be able to browbeat defendants into pleading guilty to all sorts of things which aren’t actually crimes.

The FEC investigates and prosecutes federal election crimes not the DOJ, FBI or the Mueller investigation. The FEC has not investigated this matter. Cohen and hid idiot lawyer pled guilty to crimes not in evidence.

My question is this: Is it considered a crime in the U.S. code to charge an American with a crime (collusion) that in reality doesn't exist per se?

And yet Trump’s DOJ was the one to charge him with the bogus charges and cop the plea. Think about that. Lanny Davis is not a Trial Lawyer, this was always about cutting a GREAT deal and going after Trump.

If a person is pretty smart and willing to do some legal research, hiring an attorney right away in a criminal case may not always be the wisest decision.

When you hire an attorney, keep in mind that your attorney is going to be in no hurry to resolve your case. They will want to milk your case for as much money as possible. You also will not know exactly what your attorney and the prosecutor are discussing. At the very least, you want to be at every meeting and on every call between the two.

If a prosecutor ever pressures you into a plea deal in order to avoid being charges with more serious crimes, speak up when the judge asks you if you were pressured to take a plea, tell the judge “yes”. It will piss of the prosecutor, the judge, and your attorney, but that is their problem. Do that and the shit will hit the fan.

If General Flynn had done just a bit of research, he would have quickly discovered that no one has ever be convicted under that statute, which is very widely considered to be unconstitutional.

What they promised: treason.
What they hoped for: collusion.
What they’ll settle for: hooker hush money.
