Most freepers will agree with Massie 96% of the time.

FACT!

He votes against all the big spending bills, pork and God knows what else.

But because Trump mistakenly sent out a tweet condemning him we should run him out of Congress!

Exactly, we need organization and money, not torches and pitchfork mentality.

But you didn’t address my point. For example ... Rand was one of the loudest GOP voices in the U.S. Senate against the half-assed Obamacare repeal bill in 2017. Massie voted against this bill in the House, while Paul eventually voted FOR this very defective bill in the Senate.

As I see it, the biggest difference between Paul and Massie is that Paul’s votes actually matter.

“Not judging by the way this wasteful garbage bill has been accepted here.”

A big thanks to the media for that. A little sarcasm for their dishonest efforts is warranted. And I hope their season pass for the Kennedy Center is paid up.

Usually when he votes against his party on something that sounds good its because its got JUNK in there.

GOP Rep. Massie: Health care bill is ‘worse than Obamacare’

It’s not hard to find the explanations. Google around or check his Facebook.

Voting against the USMCA to replace NAFTA is supposed to be good thing? I don’t see it.

I liked Massie’s statement he made regarding this 2T bill, but that’s the first I had heard of the man. It seems to me, Republicans could have come together and fought some of the most egregious of the Democrats extortions in this bill.

Reviewing some of Massie’s past votes, I wouldn’t support the man if he was my senator.

USMCA was a bipartisan scam that gives up sovereignty to international organizations. Massie rightly voted against it.

Pelosi and the Dems voted for it .

I understand all of that. It’s just that you’re a Rand Paul fan, and I’m pointing out cases where Massie doesn’t even vote the same way as Paul.

The USMCA was another example of Massie voting against a bill that Rand Paul supported. Maybe you should change your screen name to MassieFan. :-)

They didn’t agree on almost every piece of legislation that has been discussed on this thread. LOL.

So Congress just took $6000 out of the pockets of each of your grandchildren.

Who wasn’t there to vote?
Who was there but didn’t vote?
Did Thomas Massie vote for it? He’s catching a lot of grief but as far s anyone knows, he voted for it anyway.

This makes it easy for congress critters. If it succeeds, they can claim in their campaign ads that they voted for it. If it fails, they can claim they voted against it.

So, then why didn’t they attack him for those things or at least include them in the reasons they wanted him out of the party.
Otherwise, it came across as they wanted to kick him out of the party for calling for a roll call?

Massie’s opposition to the USMCA was a great example of how futile and pointless his principles are. The USMCA wasn’t a new trade deal established out of thin air. It was a trade deal to replace another agreement where the flaws you describe already existed. Is it too much to expect a legislator to put aside his noble principles and support a bill that may not be perfect but makes a fouled-up situation even a little bit better?

Massie acts like a football coach whose team is behind by a touchdown with two minutes on the clock and has the ball on their own 20 yard line. He refuses to run a play that gets him 15 yards downfield because he will only consider plays that will go the entire 80 yards to the end zone.

The site I quoted from gives you votes on bills. That information is not affected by the views a site espouses. The actual votes are more concrete information than a letter grade.
