Justice Ginsburg Being Treated for a ‘Recurrence of Cancer’

Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg announced on Friday that she has been undergoing treatment for cancer since May.

“On May 19, I began a course of chemotherapy…to treat a recurrence of cancer,” Ginsburg said in a statement.

The justice said the cancer was first discovered as part of a regular biopsy in February, during which doctors discovered lesions on her liver. An initial immunotherapy treatment was unsuccessful.

“The [current] chemotherapy course, however, is yielding positive results,” Ginsburg said. “Satisfied that my treatment course is now clear, I am providing this information. ”

53 The justice was hospitalized on Monday with a fever and infection. In her Friday statement, Ginsburg said the hospitalization was unrelated to her treatment for cancer.

Ginsburg has had cancer multiple times over the course of her 25-year tenure on the court. At 87, she is the eldest current Supreme Court justice. However, the justice sought to allay concerns that her medical issues would interfere with her work.

“Throughout, I have kept up with opinion writing and all other Court work,” Ginsburg said. “I have often said I would remain a member of the Court as long as I can do the job full steam. I remain fully able to do that.”

When she dries, how long after until they decide to share?

With a skilled wax artist they could hide it for years.

I believe that PDJT will win re-election on 3 November and the Buzzard will assume room temperature on 4 November.

What difference would it have made? The treatment wouldn’t affect her work. That chemo doesn’t work that way.

And she isn’t quitting.

And really, when she shows up at Walter Reed you do t think word gets around?

Knowing or not knowing would have only given you something to stew about. I am pretty sure MY opinion means mother to her. Pretty sure your’s wouldn’t either.

Who is actually writing her opinions?

Her clerks.

I would definitely bet on that.

'Ol Ruth Buzzi Ginsburg probably sleeps 21 hours a day. Anytime I've seen her in person (on TV) in the past 5-7 years, she's constantly nodding off. Even while on the bench. She's a disgrace, hanging onto that seat at her age and compromised condition.

Excellent question.

She must a tough lady to have weathered so many health storms, but hard to imagine her mind is still as sharp as it needs to be for the position she holds.

She’s probably getting Gemzar for stage 4B metastatic disease to the liver because she’s so old and frail.

1 year survival for metastatic pancreas cancer to the liver, on Gemzar, is 18%.

Who is actually writing her opinions?

Normal brain on the top; Elderly (octogenarian) brain on the bottom.

She should not be in her position, deciding crucial cases.

When I was in college studying engineering in 1976, several of us freshman engineers started a “dead pool“ for Dr. Stephen Hawking. We thought he was going to pass away within months. I believe more of my fellow students who were in on that bet ended up passing away before Dr. Hawking did.

She is there to hold the position. If they could they would leave here dead corpse in the position and demand we accept shes still alive, just like they want us to accept thier mental illness when it comes to believing a man dressed as a women is a man

“The treatment wouldn’t affect her work.”

My friend, an attorney, had breast cancer in her 40s. She scheduled her chemo treatments on Friday afternoons. She drove herself there, then home. She spent the weekend dealing with the effects of it, then was back to work on Monday morning, hard at it. Tough lady.

In 2018, cancer was back with a vengeance, and she lost that fight.

Im no doctor, I have no experiance with any cancers, but my understanding is most cancers are a mass or a lump on or near parts of the body. The more serious types of cancers are masses on or near vital organs, that affect their function.
I read RGB latest report, it talks of leisons. Leigons arent masses, they seem to me to be open cracks or open sores of the pancreas. That’s a whole lot different than a mass. That can’t be good

She’ll never make it another 20 years.

Once pancreatic cancer spreads to the liver, a person will be lucky to be alive for more than 3 months. She will not make it to the end of the year.
