i oppose any further delays in declaring sovereignty over all of israel’s liberated territory (thus far, anyway).

Hilarious. Palestinians have nothing to offer the UAE except to be proxies in a forever war against Israel. That war just ended. They have zero value. As more Arab nations accept Israel the Palestinians will become less and less relevant. The Arab world needs Israel. They need the desalinization technology. They need the markets. They need food. True peace with Israel will be a boon to all sides, even the Palestinians. Israel offers jobs. The only thing offered by Hamas is corruption, hatred and death.

I can tell you from working in the UAE, they made the decision to be a “pragmatic” partner with the US a number of years ago. Most Americans could visit Abu Dhabi and have a nice week of western life including alcohol, pork and bikinis at the pool. ;). The F1 race track is very nice too.

Yes, they do decorate for Christmas including the airport. It is “secular” in that there is no nativity scenes. The music does sometimes get through as I’ve heard “O Holy Night” in the mall” :) St Joseph’s parish has around 20 masses for Xmas. 10 are outside due to the number of people, around 3,000. I’ve attended and it is a wonderful experience.
