AG Bonta Restricts Four More States for State-Funded Travel Over Anti-LGBTQ Policies
California Globe ^ | July 1, 2022 | Evan Symon

California Attorney General Rob Bonta announced on Thursday that Arizona, Indiana, Louisiana, and Utah would be added to the list of states that California halts state-sponsored travel to due to recent LGBT restriction laws.

Ever since AB 1887 was passed in 2016, California has prohibited state-funded and state-sponsored travel to states with discriminatory LGBT laws on the books. Until Friday, 18 states have had travel bans enacted, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia. Many lawsuits by several of the affected states challenging the travel bans have been knocked down in courts across the country, including the Texas lawsuit going all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court in 2021 until they finally turned it down.

However, a flood of new laws in the first half of 2022 prompted Bonta to restart the bannings. Specifically, Bonta noted the number of new laws restricting transgender rights in the four states.

So, I guess this means that UCLA and Cal-Berkeley will have to forfeit all their away games at Utah, Arizona State, and U of Arizona in the upcoming football season.

Virtue signalling.

IIRC there are a number of exceptions that render this almost meaningless in the real world of day to day state travel.

Oklahoma, Arizona, Indiana, Louisiana, Utah, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia need to reciprocate with their state funded travel and purchases.

I’m sure people in those states are devastated.

As a resident of Missouri, I’m devastated that we’re not on the list.

I have to wonder if this means that University and state college sports teams won’t be traveling to these states.

Where is Georgia on the list? It is discriminatory not to include Georgia in the ban. Surely, with its racist voting policies we would be included.

Is there a form to fill out to request that AG Bonta include your state on the list? Asking for a friend in New Hampshire.

We are being invaded, daily.

H1B/H2B (dependents) visa holders and overstays.

F1 and J1 foreign students, at any U.S. learning institution and overstays.

Illegal criminal alien invaders, from whatever Turd-World shithole country (not just from south of the border).

Ask Europe about the Muslim rapefugees and Russia about Chinese "workers" in Siberia.

Not all invasions begin with gunfire, but they always end with gunfire.

Also, as someone posted earlier. these states need to prohibit travel to CA for their state funded travel as in training seminars, etc. Have the seminars in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Taos, Salt Lake City.

Maybe this travel ban is a blessing in disguise for these states.
