You are so right on! I live in Florida and the folks have been told for days if you live on the west coast of FL to be making plans to evacuate and that included Ft. Myers area. No one knew for sure where Ian was headed because of all the wobbling it was doing. It was headed straight for us in north FL for awhile and we were even preparing. Everyone, unless they are elderly in a long care facility or disabled should be able to listen and do what needs to be done to be safe. If people stayed, they were taking their lives in their hands. I pray for everyone affected by this storm (I have several family members that are without power now and will be for some time. They are all prepared and doing ok.

It was a preview of what is to come, should DeSantis decide to make a Ron for POTUS. It was never about Trump, just as it was never about Bush, Bush, Ford or Nixon. It’s about being a Republican - the sworn enemy of the left, which includes the vast majority of the media.

Take a lesson from Karin Lake, the Republican gubernatorial candidate in Arizona. Do not accept the premise of questions of reporters as legitimate and never allow the left to determine your agenda when running for public office. Despite what is being shoved down our throats, “the majority” of voters don’t think that so called climate change and abortion is more important than paying our bills, being able to afford buying a house, putting gas in our cars, illegal migration, drugs, crime or government corruption.

It’s way past time for the Republicans to have learned their lessons. But we know they haven’t . . .
