In a phone interview with radio host Glenn Beck for the Thursday edition of The Glenn Beck Program, DeSantis finally punched back against those claims. A clip from their exchange began circulating Twitter via Citizen Free Press.
“I think he did great for three years, but when he turned the country over to Fauci in March of 2020, that destroyed millions of people’s lives,” DeSantis said. “In Florida, we were one of the few that stood up, cut against the grain, took incoming fire from media, bureaucracy, the left, even a lot of Republicans, had schools open, preserved businesses.”

I’m sure he was, but was there incontrovertible proof that it was a scam? Show me this proof from a reputable source that AIDs was a scam from the beginning.
Maybe it would have made some Freepers happy if Trump had fired every bureaucrat and ran the whole show himself? No chance of corruption if Trump is the government. Nothing will go wrong with that, right?

On another thread we had a Florida Freeper describe the scene in 2020 when three police officers showed up at his retail business with a copy of DeSantis’ Executive Order #20-91 and informed him that he had to shut down because he was “not essential.”
This scenario where a law-abiding American citizen can have his business shut down by some government @sshole who never misses a paycheck reads like something you’d see described in the Declaration of Independence as one of the intolerable abuses by King George III.
If Trump gets the nomination I will be first in line to vote for him. Just like in 2016 and 2020.
Until then I’m rooting for Desantis, unlike the last 2 cycles I’m not behind him fully anymore. He is now my backup choice.
