The money will help support 54 projects in 33 counties for broadband internet expansion.
$135 million will be allocated through the Broadband Opportunity Program and $86 million in federal funds through the Multipurpose Community Facilities Program.
The expansion will provide over 27,000 residential, agricultural and commercial locations with internet access in unserved and rural communities.

just in case the rnc figures out a way to keep Trump off the ballog.
The desantis supporters are going to say he's just being governor of florida...
Well, where was he earlier, most of 2023 and 2024?
typo -
ballog should be
just in case the rnc figures out a way to keep Trump off the ballot.
You are getting to sound like Q fans chasing after windmills.
He is no longer running for President.
How about attacking Biden for a change?
Running for President, like an idiot. Ron has regained his sanity, and understands he has to make up for lost time as a lame duck governor.
Let's be honest. If Trump gets whacked, Nikki is the nominee, because she's whom the Uniparty wants to be the Designated Loser. Let Ron do his FL thing, and put a security circle or two or three around Trump so he will be alive when he takes the oath in January.
desanctus is now running a stealth campaign, doing things that gets his name in the news.
Likely, because some people have told him he still has a chance, of the rnc or lawfare keeps Trump off the republican primary ballot, he has a chance....
That, pluse he has $96 million still sitting in neverbackdown.
Why should the gov’t be involved in this at all? Why should public funds be allocated to private benefactors? If rural people want internet service, they can buy it. If they can’t afford it, all you’re saying is that they are not willing to pay the price. What DeSantis is saying is that urban dwellers should pay for rural services. Why??
Leave it. You got your way. Enjoy your win. So what if DeSantis didn’t make it. Trump didn’t in 2000. DeSantis is a great governor and those poor white people in rural Florida will finally have decent internet. God, how awful.
It’s not government funds for f sake.
He was re-elected to be governor, even though he had already been planning to abandon florida and run for president...
So for 3/4 of a year, he’s been absent in florida, and leaving the state adrift....
as he followed his political ambition of becoming president...
And desanctus still has not done anything about the problems florida faces with the state’s insurance problems.
emmmm...
yes it is.
both state and federail.
Why continue to lie about things?
Who’s money is he spending, if it isn’t the government’s (read tax payer paid into the government)?
I don’t think you realize that grants are from independent companies and individuals. That’s been known for decades.
Well, where was he earlier, most of 2023 and 2024?
*****************************************************
He was being America’s best Governor; a bold, focused, moral, conservative leader; a patriot and a faithful husband and father. To add to his awesomeness he handled a hurricane recovery, issued tax relief, defeated woke Disney, protected parental rights, addressed illegal immigration, saw the Florida economy continue to grow and education to improve.
He was NOT turning his office over to Anthony Fauci, taking policy advice from Kim Kardashian, slandering Raphael Cruz, letting Antifa and BLM burn down American cities; promoting death jab vaccines and lockdowns, selling superhero cards, or adding $7.8 trillion to the national debt.
No we can't!
Still lie about things....
Too many state references to the program,
an individual county reference

Really? So the statement:
DeSantis awarded $233 million...
means DeSantis took $233 million out of his pocket? I don't think so.
No we can't!
Yes you can, just like ships at sea and planes do by purchasing a satellite-based internet service. What you're saying is they don't want it enough to bear the cost of satellite-based internet.
Forget him. He’s got a bug up his arse about our governor. He’s only making a fool of himself.
Why should we when city folk can get FIOS for less than half of Starlink? We can’t afford Starlink. I guess you can and look down on us poor, rural folk.
BTW, ships at sea and planes are businesses. Do I look like a business to you?
