The republic, like the Constitution itself, is STILL there. It is just being ignored...
Tucker should have said, “the defining factor of the United States is freedom.” And that freedom is protected by the 2nd amendment.
At least it's supposed to be.

CLARIFICATION:
The title of the posted article with “democracy” in it, instead of “republic”, was not that of Tucker Carlson, but of Dr. Malone.
Tucker’s video title is: “Everything You Need to Know about the Government’s Mass Censorship Campaign”
I used Dr. Malone’s article to post rather than the video from Tucker for several reasons.
1. Many of you have indicated in past postings that you do not have the time to watch a video.
2. Dr. Malone has provided a transcript that you could read as closely as you wish, or simply skim over it.
Hopefully you will see the need to actually watch the video. Dr. Malone sure hopes you will. He made a point to get Tucker’s permission to post it on his Substack. Tucker’s response was, “Oh gosh, I hope you will. It’s important.”
It took me nearly 2 hours to view this 1-hour video. I kept pausing and replaying portions, so I could truly absorb what was being presented here. Mike Benz spoke rather fast, without the need of notes!
3. Just as FreeRepublic facilitates follow-up discussions, so does Dr. Malone’s Substack.
In fact, I have already identified there several references (books, etc.) that I will delve further into this relevant topic.

After listening to RFK it’s Spotify with the Reagan staffer, I agree. The patriot act, Covid tyranny and J6 prove we lost it. The republicans and dems are turning local PD and every other person in federal endorsement against us.
We said yes to lockdowns, yes to travel restrictions, yes to bumpstock bans and the. Iowa turned out for four more years of republican tyranny. Ridiculous.

There are two different meanings for tha same word. One uses democracy as something specific- a direct democracy that holds plebiscites & referendums & is voted by the people directly (i.e. no middle men representatives or constitutional limits/50.1% majority rules); the other is the general term describing the governments of free people- governments of the people, whether direct democracy or through representative government. It’s obvious used in the latter context, not the former 🙄
Listening to the interview now. It brings together a lot of what we already know.

But the Delusional Lying Left will take that vagueness and use it against you. Every time. The Left uses “democracy” to mean and to use as a means of centralizing government - the Leftist goal. Watch out for what you’re supporting
Be specific. Our country is a REPUBLIC and the Constitution cites REPUBLIC in its text as well (Art. IV, Sec. 4).
So in this day of lies, be precise and argue that we are a REPUBLIC not a democracy.
A pure democracy is two foxes and one chicken voting on what to have for lunch. There are zero protections for the minority even if it is 49%
