At least eight states are planning to ban the sale of new gas-powered cars in the next decade - and others are considering joining them.
Only zero-emission vehicles can be sold in participating states beginning from the 2035 model year, according to the Advanced Clean Cars II legislation.
The rule, which was first adopted by California, means that automakers and dealerships would be banned from selling new gas cars in these states from that point onwards.

Banning ICEs is nothing. Wait until Bill Gates squirts his ARTIFICIAL CLOUDS up in the sky to shut off sunlight.

Money is the life blood of politicians and big business is happy to support Democrats with donations. But if they thought they were “buying” influence they were wrong, because the current crop of Democrats have an agenda and that is to destroy the United States.
Well, coming from the Daily Mail UK which tends to exaggerate pretty much everything. I doubt this will actually happen, and if it does, those lawmakers will have to backtrack. Customers will just go to another state to buy their cars, which will result in loss of revenues due to less state tax collected. Also, the amount of incentives to buy electric vehicles would have to end. I really think electric vehicles are the way to go, but not yet, and not very soon. Gas powered vehicles burn much more effectively than years ago, are cheaper to make, and don’t depend on China for lithium to make batteries. I don’t see the end of gas powered vehicles for another 30 - 40 years, unless some major development is made to reduce the cost and improve the mileage of evs. You simply cannot go on a road trip cross country with an ev, since there are very few charging stations, and too far apart. Not enough power plants either.
Don’t worry, our gubmint will have completely collapsed by then.
