I think Bannon knows a few things about ships:
Bannon was an officer in the United States Navy for seven years in the late 1970s and early 1980s; he served on the destroyer USS Paul F. Foster as a surface warfare officer in the Pacific Fleet, and afterwards as a special assistant to the chief of naval operations at the Pentagon. Bannon’s job at the Pentagon was, among other things, handling messages between senior officers and writing reports about the state of the Navy fleet worldwide. While at the Pentagon, Bannon attended Georgetown University at night and obtained his master’s degree in national security studies.
In 1980, Bannon was deployed to the Persian Gulf to assist with Operation Eagle Claw during the Iran hostage crisis.
Drop the anchor? Like it’s a rowboat. The bridge protection was nonexistent.
Simple solution moving forward. Require a tugboat until big vessels are into the wide-open waters, clear of any infrastructure.
In Chesapeake Bay I guess that means all the way down to the bridge-tunnel at Virginia Beach.
I wouldn’t be a bit surprised at this point if it’s called the Ru Paul Bridge, with a Female Impersonator parade for it’s opening!
It’s Baltimore, almost no way in heck are they going to name it for anyone other than a black person.
“...the ship took a hard turn to starboard. Why?”
No doubt more will be learned about what exactly happened and when as the crew, captain, & pilot are debriefed. Whether or not the public will ever learn, who knows?
High chance. Who needs terrorists when you have business school grads running things?
Transportation used to be run by engineering school grads and people who had worked their way up in the system who generally put safety and maintenance first, knowing it was not only safer, but cheaper in the long run.
Now aerospace (airlines, aircraft manufacturing) and about everything else is run by business school grads who only look at the next quarter profits and look at maintenance as overhead.

When the South Padre bridge was taken out, they rebuilt and put bumper pylons to protect it in the rebuild. It was taken out by a barge in the ICW. Eight people were killed.

It took 2 weeks to recover the bodies, and it was a lot smaller. Cars continued to drive in the water after it collapsed.
Didn’t the Pelosis run Baltimore for a while? Maybe name it after Nan’s dad.
They did when the Mafia was a big factor in’city govts’, nationwide. She’s the ‘more famous’ one from that corrupt, criminal family.
He got President Trump elected in 16, what have you done to fight the fight. You forgot to mention Laura Logan’s report later in the day.
Good guess, but I think that Post #24 is probably right.
I was thinking accident.... but now I'm starting to wonder.
That makes way too much sense. Intentional or not, the left/Dems/Deep State is not going to let this crisis go to waste. Biden’s minions will slow roll the rebuild to further strain the economy and then blame it on Trump.
HAZMATs can take I-695 around the west side of Baltimore like they used to do before the bridge. It’s not that big a deal and not anywhere as big as getting the Port back in service.
When he was a naval surface warfare officer for seven years, and served on a destroyer.
My money’s on the Tupac Shakur Memorial Bridge.
I would think dropping the anchor could easily swing it right in to those pylons as it is dragging along the bottom.
All my guns were on the boat....
