Governor Chris Sununu (R-NH) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that voters will choose former President Donald Trump even if he is convicted of crimes.
Partial transcript as follows:
STEPHANOPOULOS: History being made tomorrow, that criminal trial. Will your support for Donald Trump continue even if he’s convicted in Manhattan?
SUNUNU: Yeah, look, this — this trial is not going to have major political ramifications that a lot of people, I think, think it may have. And when it comes to these issues, people see it more as reality TV at this point. They really do. And so, you know, whether it’s a conviction or what that conviction looks like, a lot of folks, they conflate all four of these different trials that he’s in.

Maybe because the justice system has been bastardized to the point that it is no better than reality TV. Which is really the case. Really.
It feels like a scripted show with a forced ending that they are going to ram through no matter what reality is.
It was 'Reality TV' during the OJ "trial". And, that was 30 years ago.

I have not watched any “news” since the OJ trial. I threw out the TV. I wonder if anyone else had the same response.

I think he — his actions absolutely contributed to that. There’s no question about that. I hate the election denialism of 2020. Nobody wants to be talking about that in 2024.

It takes a lot of courage for Sununu to admit he was wrong. Something Pence, Haley, Bolton, Christie, Barr, etc., have yet to do
John Sununu is an excellent example of full-blown Dunning-Kruger syndrome.
Only an unthinking person would let something as stupid and contrived as these phony witch hunts change their support for Trump.

I think Trump’s support will get stronger, not weaker, despite the media’s focused attention and breathless reporting.
Sununu should have his teeth knocked out for crapping on J6 Protesters.

Sunnunu-a change of heart? Hardly. He’s thinking of ‘26. Shaheen may call it quits. He’s setting himself up for her senate seat, something we’ll have to get behind.
