New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) announced that the city’s Department of Corrections was prepared to imprison former President Donald Trump at Rikers Island.

Adams’ comments came a day after New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, the judge presiding over Trump’s business records trial, threatened to jail the former president after finding him in contempt for violating a gag order for the tenth time.

Watch your mouth folks.

Yes. Give them nothing. Their arrogance will be their undoing.

Not always the case. They may make an exception when the process is prejudicial.

“Our military is actively conducting a covert operation.”

You don’t see it because it’s covert.

One theory I heard on Fox was that instead of jail, Merchan may order house arrest--so Trump has to stay in Trump Tower except for when he's in court, so he can't do any campaign events as long as the trial goes on.

Despite the outrageous features of the trial (which never should have been held), it still depends on getting 12 Hillary voters on the jury to find Trump guilty of the real charge--stealing the election from Hillary.

And to think this POS used to be a cop? I’ll bet he was a terrible one.

The military leaders who recruited Trump to run for President are running the most complicated military operation in history. They advance the agenda of those who came before them—who vowed NEVER AGAIN after what happened on 11/22/63.

It will be revealed when the time is right. Until then we must read between the lines, trust our intuition and have faith.

According to prominent Democrats, Trump has got to prove his innocence

Yeah, republicans are always guilty until proven innocent, right?

Adams is grandstanding and he knows it, Mercahn knows he can’t put a former president in Rikers.

All that will happen is that if Merchan pushes it Trump will be given Home Detention with the SS guarding him.

If you remember the show 24, the fictional President Charles Logan was convicted of crimes and was given Home Detention on his ranch where he could not leave.

Same thing for Trump in this instance, probably will have to stay in Trump Tower or another of his properties. He will still be free to campaign and do interviews from that locale until things are resolved.

I disagree. President Trump can file an immediate petition for writ of habeas corpus in U.S. district court. If he is falsely imprisoned, it becomes a federal matter under the U.S. Constitution. False imprisonment immediately becomes a violation of your U.S. constitutional rights.

The judge here has the burden to demonstrate the necessity for the immediate imprisonment of the leading candidate for the U.S. presidency. That this judge cannot even specify a law Trump has violated to cause him to be the defendant in a criminal trial, the judge’s summary imprisonment of Trump would be naked tyranny for the entire world to see.

I believe the judge in this case could be prosecuted for a direct threat of harm against a former president. The Secret Service could and SHOULD arrest this lunatic judge for making this threat to undermine the personal security of a former president. Such security is enshrined in federal law as a protective right of ALL former presidents and no tinhorn state judge can revoke that right !

I hope we witness a major battle for the ages when state thugs try to arrest a former president over this mountain of manufactured b***sh**.

I think he’s a lot more true to his firm beliefs than a lot
of folks give him credit for.

This is the bower, the one that thought the US had too much
influence on global affairs.

If you look back to his administration and the dufus things
he did, a lot of the Biden agenda fits right in. They plan
things to hurt the U. S. the most. They are trying to destroy
our nation.

We’re essentially backing Hamas rather than Israel. That’s
Obama all the way.
