[history]
MARTIN Sheen's politicking against the war on terrorism may have cost him a lucrative endorsement contract.
Sheen and his son Charlie starred in a spot for Visa's Check Card which was cited as one of the top TV commercials of 2002. But it was abruptly canceled last week.

They are so use to getting their way about everything they have no idea how to react to someone telling them to shut up.

This pleases me no end. The phone lines must be burning up right now; shrinks are being paged in droves in the middle of the night.

I wasn't too thrilled with the Yao/"yo" ad either!
I know we have ignorant people like that in NYC...
but they rarely get a job like that.
Most business' in NYC want to give a good account of the city!!
And for the record, we are very nice in NYC, we are just in a hurry all the time!!
If I stopped to say hi/hello/how are you to everyone I passed it would take me 3 months to get home at night!!
It is a time thing, if you are ever really stuck a New Yorker will hook you up!!

He's a Chinese basketball star who came over to play in the NBA. (Yao Ming) The commercial is one of the most annoying things I've ever seen.
He wants to pay by check, but there's a sign "no checks". Instead of saying, "We don't take checks", the girl says, "Yo" and points to the sign. Yao says "Yao" as if she's mispronouncing his name. This goes a couple of rounds before the manager comes by and it starts all over. Annoying might be too tame a word.

the only bad thing is that people will see this as validation of "blacklisting." All the celebrity shows have been running stories on actors afraid to say anything for fear of being blacklisted.

Why don't they just act like American citizens and entertain us. Come on FR or any board and give their opinion like the majority of us and leave the war strategy to the experts.

No one is seeking these fools out to "blacklist" them. They are taking advantage of their celebrity status to make their opinions known whenever they can. Well, now the American people are making their opinions known too. The Hollyweirds have the arrogant and completely false impression that they can say and do whatever they want with no consequences. It's time they found out they're wrong.

If only they could do that with Clinton.... am sick of those Dole Clinton ads for prostate problems.
To: kattracks
yep. what a disappointment it must be for them when other people express their opinions.
No sense of entitlement there...
