My unvaxxed teenage grandkid recovered from Omicron before her positive results came back. A 36-hour flulike illness with a slight fever. She has a few lingering sniffles, which in all likelihood are her normal allergies. No one else in the household caught it.
Seeing is believing...and I have not seen any Covid cases in the last few months or so.
I'm in rural north-central Florida and for the first time I am seeing cases that are beginning to hit close to home:
The girl my grandson is dating has it. She was in our home two weeks ago.
One of his friends came over on Sunday and announced that he was the only one in his household that is negative. His sister, who was vaxxed, had it. His father was hospitalized last Wednesday into Thursday. His mother was in the hospital for several days last week and his grandmother, in her 70's, was still in the hospital.
Lastly, my neighbor's son-in-law is also my mechanic. Last week he came over to borrow a nebulizer because his mother was being released following a covid hospitalization. She has several foster children and they were all infected but she was the only one that couldn't be treated at home.
Curtis has been commenting on this. He and his Guardian Angels have done more for the city, for so many years, than Johnny-Come-Lately Andrew Yang could ever dream of. But Yang will be the next mayor because he’s advocating free money for all.
