  • Was Angus T. Jones Wrong for Bashing Two and a Half Men?

I have to admit, I have never watched Two and a Half Men, and never will. I hate sitcoms. I’ve tried to watch other ones and found them to be rather unfunny; as a Christian myself I find the content worldly, over-sexualized and very distasteful, as are most programs on TV. But as an actor on the program, was Jones wrong for speaking out against it?

State House candidate Christina Ayala, who won the Democratic primary Tuesday night in the 128th District, is facing several charges after police said she fled the scene of an accident Wednesday night with two minors in her car ... Ayala had pulled over about a block-and-a-half up the street to survey the damage to her car. "She never looked back one time, never walked back one time, never even paid attention to the car she hit," Stokes said. Kenneth Stokes followed Ayala after she got back inside her vehicle and pulled away. He said he pulled next to her at...

It can no longer be denied that America has become a "seething cesspool of filth and corruption." America has become a haunt of demons and of every foul spirit. Today, even those who present themselves as "Catholic" have lost the sense of sin. Archbishop Fulton Sheen warned that, "Man is powerless to resist evil if he does not recognize it as such, and deceives himself when he becomes indifferent to evil; his whole personality immediately begins to dissolve, for the power of conscience is inseparably bound up with the denunciation of evil. And this is precisely what our world is...
  • Did Ron Paul appear on white supremacist radio show? (Confirmed in 2006)

    12/23/2011 1:21:08 PM PST · by mnehring · 22 replies
According to a contemporaneous blog post by a Ron Paul supporter, Ron Paul appeared on the nation's most popular white supremacist radio program, The Political Cesspool. That program is associated with the Council of Conservative Citizens (formerly known as the White Citizens Councils) and had been supportive of David Duke and others of that ilk. It's sponsors include the Institute for Historical Review, the nation's largest organization devoted to Holocaust denial. The blog post announcing Ron Paul's appearance on the show (which can be read here) (link broken) reads as follows: One of the only truly conservative Congressmen in office...
  • Florida Officials: EPA is Putting State Through Water Torture

    Sunshine State News ^ | August 9, 2011 | Kenric Ward
State and regional water officials poured criticism on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Tuesday, calling the EPA's proposed pollution standards heavy-handed, overly expensive and indefensibly "poor science." Appearing at a congressional hearing conducted by U.S. Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-Ocala, a cavalcade of water experts disputed the EPA's tactics and questioned its motives. Paul Steinbrecher, president of the Florida Water Environment Association Utility Council, said the EPA's numeric nutrient criteria are "rooted in poor science." "It was done to settle a lawsuit, not to meet an environmental need. Setting criteria for the entire state in an unrealistic time frame, they found...

Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck announced Monday that his officers will no longer automatically tow the cars of illegal immigrant drivers stopped at sobriety checkpoints. The policy comes in response to the concerns of Latino civil rights activists, who say impound fees are unfairly costing otherwise hardworking illegal immigrant drivers hundreds of dollars. Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck said his department impounds about 1,000 cars a year from illegal immigrants at sobriety checkpoints – not because they’re drunk but because they don’t have driver’s licenses. “As we reviewed our impound policies it became obvious to me that they...
  • Mexico is a cesspool that is a clear and present danger to our security

Left unaddressed the dangers Mexico poses to our security can spell disaster for us in very short order. There are a number of irrefutable charges against our southern neighbors, one more ominous than the next. Consider these serious problems. Mexico is a fake nation. It is little more of a modern country contributing to the welfare of North America then Somali contributes to the worldwide community. The difference, nevertheless, actually makes Mexico more dangerous because it masquerades as a real country and Somali is recognized as a pirate’s den. The level of lawlessness in Mexico is such that more power...

Even just one set of parents can stop things if they are determined enough. It's been a source of tremendous frustration and anger to parents that public school officials have been selecting increasingly vulgar and offensive plays -- many with blatant homosexual themes -- for students to act in and for the student body to watch. It's a shock that any adults would do this with impressionable kids. Unfortunately, this is a reflection of the types of people who are becoming teachers and administrators and pushing their agenda with impunity. At Attleboro High School, the drama group was scheduled to...

Health Care is only Sleight of Hand allowing Government Takeover. To hear people discuss it you would swear that the government is concerned about human life. Get out of here. Our government could end thousands of deaths each day by eliminating tobacco sales. Now that would be controversial. Instead they tax it heavily for a nice little profit and ignore the dirty secret that they could care less about: American lives or should I say American deaths. What government cares about is more government. Governments like the ones our president wants to be like have killed millions of people. The...

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- For years, while the rest of the city teemed with immigrants from across the world, Staten Island remained a bastion of native New Yorkers and first- and second-generation Europeans. Not any more. The Island has the fastest growing immigrant population in the city - a population that has grown by 41 percent since the last Census in 2000, and more than doubled since the 1990 Census. At least one-fifth of all current Islanders were born outside the United States. These newest Islanders -- who come from Mexico, Italy, China, Ukraine and Russia -- are profoundly transforming...
  • Liberal cesspool Detroit: Not even the dead can escape the effects of 50 years of Democrat control

Detroit’s heartbreaking condition now means frozen slowly rotting corpses. After fifty unbroken years of liberal Democrat rule Detroit has sunken so low it has no money to bury its poor who die without other means to be interned. As the raging flames of Obama’s recession consume one city after another across the country without a doubt the worse off cities are those most controlled by Democrats and their masters in Big Labor. Liberal controlled cities like Detroit Chicago New York Los Angeles and Atlanta all average higher unemployment then the rest of America. The Labor Department says ALL 372 cities...

Gov. Rod Blagojevich is expected today to name former Illinois Atty. Gen. Roland Burris to replace President-elect Barack Obama in the U.S. Senate. The action comes despite warnings by Democratic Senate leaders that they would not seat anyone appointed by the disgraced governor who faces criminal charges of trying to sell the post, sources familiar with the decision said.

Customers shopping for clothes at the Charli boutique watched in amazement when two uniformed men marched in and threatened staff with criminal prosecution. Their crime? Putting out rubbish in the wrong-coloured bin bags. Council officers announced that the shop in Muswell Hill, North London, would be fined £300 after using black bags because they had run out of the grey version issued by the local authority. The designer store had been waiting since July 1 for a delivery of new bags, but by the 17th staff decided they would have to put their rotting rubbish out in four standard black...

The best, the most pointed and comprehensive opinion on the award of the Order of Canada pin to Henry Morgentaler, in the course of this long grim week, was by Ian Hunter in the National Post: “In old Canada, Morgentaler was prosecuted and sent to jail for performing illegal abortions. But that was in another era and, as far as I'm concerned, another country -- a country as dead as any of the recipients of Morgentaler’s attentions.” I shall say something about that award tomorrow. For today I want to focus on the New Canada -- the one that is...

(Updates death toll, shots fired near interior minister) GAZA, March 27 (Reuters) - Raw sewage erupted from holding pools and swept through a village in the northern Gaza Strip on Tuesday, causing at least three deaths and many injuries, Palestinian rescue workers said. They said dozens of residents of Gaza's small Bedouin Village were still unaccounted for after the sewage overflowed from ground-level treatment pools, knocking down many makeshift homes. Hospital officials said at least 15 people were injured. It was not immediately clear what caused the sewage to erupt from the pools. Palestinian Interior Minister Hani al-Qawasmi, who rushed...

Congressman Mark Foley's office says the e-mails were entirely appropriate and that their release is part of a smear campaign by his opponent.
