MEDFORD, Ore. - Two lawsuits involving the Jackson County Sheriff's Office are costing the county more than $50,000, according to numbers released this week by the Medford Mail Tribune newspaper. Jackson County Sheriff Mike Winters must pay more than $40,000 in legal fees in a case involving concealed handgun permit holder information.

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Omaha will likely be forced to stop requiring those with concealed-carry gun permits to register their firearms with the city. SALT LAKE CITY — As gun rights bills flow through the Legislature, a new poll shows Utahns support gun owners displaying their weapons if they feel threatened. Sixty-five percent of respondents favor HB78, according to a Deseret News/KSL-TV poll conducted by Dan Jones & Associates, while 30 percent oppose the idea.
