As the Democratic Party primary field lurches to the left on a number of policy issues, it is being reflected among Democratic voters -- with three in four Democrats saying they would back a socialist for president, according to a new poll released this month. The Gallup poll found that 76 percent of Democratic voters would vote for a socialist. Only 17 percent of Republicans say they would vote for a socialist, and 45 percent of independents would vote for one. The poll comes amid the rise of self-described “democratic socialist” Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., in the Democratic presidential primary...

Up until now, Democrats have been focused on finding the right candidate who can Get Trump. For awhile, many were gravitating toward Joe Biden for this very reason, citing his Scranton roots and supposed common man demeanor. It wasn't based on any authentic affection for Biden. It was who could Beat Trump. As Biden fell apart over impeachment, with revelations about how he amassed wealth for himself and his relatives in public office, some moved over to Pete Buttigieg or Amy Klobuchar. Then Michael Bloomberg came on the scene, scarfing up a large part of the collapsing Biden vote by...

The progressive group, whose electoral influence has grown since it backed Bernie Sanders four years ago, is now supporting Ms. Warren for the Democratic presidential nomination. The Working Families Party, the labor-aligned progressive group whose electoral influence has grown since the 2016 election, has endorsed Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts for the Democratic presidential nomination, a boon to her candidacy as she attempts to position herself as the main challenger to former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr.

Mao Zedong is in the White House, hanging out with a drag queen. Not far away, Barack Obama is making a play to have his head etched in stone. ...on the official White House Christmas tree [decorations include] an orb depicting the late Chinese dictator, another that shows drag queen Hedda Lettuce, and yet another that shows a picture of Mount Rushmore -- with Obama's head pasted to the side of Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson and Roosevelt's.

We’re not all socialists yet but we’re getting there. A majority of Democrats are, in any case. The single-payer numbers in Morning Consult’s new survey not only aren’t surprising, they’re right in line with what other studies have showed this year.

RUSH: Remember Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, did the commencement speech at Harvard this year? You remember what the central theme of his commencement speech was? Guaranteed national income. We need to have a guaranteed national income. Now, he sold it on the basis that there’s so much automation coming that the United States has a responsibility to take care of the employees that are gonna be rendered unemployed because of the rapidly increasing automation that is occurring in so many American businesses. Today the San Francisco Chronicle: “Why Universal Basic Income is Gaining Support, Critics.” Apparently — and...

BOSTON (AP) — Immigrants and activists are marking International Workers’ Day with marches and rallies in Boston and its suburbs. The “Here to Stay” rallies in Boston, Chelsea and Everett on Monday are also meant to be a call for Massachusetts lawmakers to approve the Safe Communities Act. That proposal would make Massachusetts a so-called “sanctuary state” where state agencies limit their cooperation with federal immigration enforcement efforts.

Fidel Castro died as he lived: to the sound of useful idiots making allowances for his crimes. (That's not my term: It was Lenin who called liberal apologists for Communism "useful idiots.") The gold medal in the Useful Idiot Olympics should probably go to Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada. In a statement, he expressed his "deep sorrow" upon learning that "Cuba's longest serving president" had died. One can only imagine what George Orwell could do with that one word, "serving." Castro did not serve; he ruled a nation of servants, often cruelly, while making obscene profits for himself...

Video at link. Fidel Castro’s recent death evoked conflicting assessments of his legacy from world leaders, but college students are no more prepared than prime ministers to justify their support for the Cuban dictator. A number of students at American University acknowledged the brutality of Castro's regime, but insisted that he was a better leader than Trump because he did "good things" for the Cuban people. Hillary Clinton’s concession speech the day after her stunning loss to Donald Trump was a historic moment. She was gracious and remarkably strong and poised given the political and emotional enormity of what had happened to her. But surely the weirdest part of the moment was her introduction by her running mate and comrade, Tim Kaine, the left-wing Catholic and “social justice” warrior. In a brief preamble to Hillary’s big moment, Kaine tried to set the stage by invoking an unlikely pair of sources: the New Testament and Langston Hughes, a celebrated early-twentieth century communist poet, a fact that 99...

Eminent takeover of Marxism and communism in the United States of America Yes, friends, anyone who has been following the presidential campaign over the past couple of weeks, even the most praetorian republicans amongst us, have to realize that the time has come fess-up to reality while understanding that candidate Donald Trump will never become the next president of this great land of ours. That is right, I said Trump will never be our next president, meaning Hillary Clinton will become the first woman ever to hold that office in the history of the nation. I have come to this...

Hillary Clinton is getting a boost in her bid for the presidency from an enthusiastic group she doesn’t mention in campaign speeches – the Communist Party USA. Long gone are the days when the party ran its own candidates for president and vice president. In 2016, it’s all in for the Democrats and Clinton. The party is not just pushing for a win, though, it’s looking for a landslide over Donald Trump that will permit the Democrats to take the House and Senate, too, according to the latest reports at the CPUSA website. “The polls are frightening in light of...

The teachers unions have hidden behind the "for the children" mantra for decades, all the while creating a system that costs more and more to educate less and less. New York City spends more than $20,000 per year per pupil, and 80% of the "graduates" do not read well enough to attend community college. Now that millions of invaders are coming here to collect government checks, we are expected to pay for the "education" of their children as well. The teachers unions look upon this as a multicultural bonanza, allowing them to create teaching positions for eight different dialects of...

WASHINGTON - The Communist Party USA may not control many actual votes, but what they lack in support is made up for in enthusiasm. That passion was in full display with a seven-person team of "reporters" covering their national political convention last month. And their convention was the Democratic National Convention that nominated Hillary Rodham Clinton as their undisputed candidate for president of the United States. Exaggeration? Judge for yourself. Here are excerpts from the editorial produced as part of that coverage by the team credentialed to cover the convention by the Democratic Party. "Donald Trump steals wages. He'd pick...
