  • Trump exposes the G-7 summit as a total fraud

President Trump didn't play along with the usual narrative at the G-7 summit, and the liberal media predictably characterized him as the villain: Even before then, Mr. Trump had left himself the outlier in the annual session. By departing before the end, he skipped sessions about climate change, oceans and clean energy — ceding not only America’s leadership on those topics, but also its very seat at the table. Lost in this breathless "transcription" of events is the question of whether America should lead on so-called "issues" such as climate change, oceans, and supposedly "clean" energy.
  • Ex-CIA Director John Brennan: 'Be Patient, Mr. Trump Is A Temporary Aberration'

John Brennan, who served as CIA director in the Obama administration, took a shot across the bow at President Trump after the president lashed out at Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for being “dishonest” and “weak." In a pointed tweet Sunday morning, Brennan said Trump is "a temporary aberration" whose impact on the U.S. will not last. "Your wrong-headed protectionist policies & antics are damaging our global standing as well as our national interests. Your worldview does not represent American ideals. To allies & friends: Be patient, Mr. Trump is a temporary aberration. The America you once knew will return,"...
  • President Trump Threatens to Stop All Trade With Countries That Don’t Drop Tariffs on U.S. Goods

President Donald Trump delivered a threat to foreign leaders during a press conference Saturday at the 2018 G7 summit in Quebec, Canada: If they don’t dramatically reduce tariffs and trade barriers, “we'll stop trading with them.” Halting all trade with countries that don’t drop tariffs is a “very profitable answer,” Trump said. Trump also repeated an earlier proposal that U.S. trading partners should drop all trade barriers, including tariffs and subsidies to industries and producers in their own countries. “We're the piggy bank that everybody is robbing. And that ends,” Trump said. The comments come in the midst of Trump’s...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Someone really needs to relieve John McCain of his I-phone. – The guy whose rejection by the American people gave us Barack Hussein Obama got all upset on Saturday over President Trump’s refusal to bow to our Euro-Canadian betters at the G7 summit, and decided to send the following tweet: John McCain ✔ @SenJohnMcCain To our allies: bipartisan majorities of Americans remain pro-free trade, pro-globalization & supportive of alliances based on 70 years of shared values. Americans stand with you, even if our president doesn’t. 7:55 PM - Jun 9, 2018 There...

President Trump rebuked Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Saturday, saying that the U.S. will not endorse a joint communique signed with the other Group of Seven (G-7) members at this weekend's summit and seemingly threatening to impose further tariffs on the country. “Based on Justin’s false statements at his news conference, and the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs to our U.S. farmers, workers and companies, I have instructed our U.S. Reps not to endorse the Communique as we look at Tariffs on automobiles flooding the U.S. Market!” Trump tweeted. Based on Justin’s false statements at his news...

LA MALBAIE, Canada — As host of this year’s G7 summit, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau seemed to have just one over-arching goal: to get through the gathering without U.S. President Donald Trump blasting it to pieces. Trudeau succeeded — for all of about 90 minutes. Just an hour and a half after Trudeau finished his concluding news conference, an irate Trump tweeted that he had “instructed our U.S. reps not to endorse the Communique” and threatened to impose tariffs on automobiles. He accused Trudeau of making “false statements” to the press. Other G7 officials said Trump was too late....

Trump at G7: Who's who in Merkel's photo? It was always slated to be a tense and awkward G7 summit and an Instagram post from the official account of German Chancellor Angela Merkel appears to have captured one of those moments. Here's a who's who of the people pictured, and where they stand on the trade row: 1. Donald Trump, US president: Mr Trump shocked America's allies - namely the EU, Mexico and Canada - when he recently announced a 25% tariff on imports of steel and 10% on aluminium from these countries. They are all threatening retaliatory measures and...

After an opening day dominated by trade talk, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will shift the G7 conversation to other pressing global issues on Saturday — climate change and empowering women — but at least one leader has opted to skip part of the day's meetings. U.S. President Donald Trump will leave La Malbaie, Que., early Saturday before G7 leaders are scheduled to have a working session on protecting the world's oceans and redoubling efforts to stave off catastrophic climate change. He will, however, take part in the gender-focused breakfast session billed by Canadian officials as a chance for leaders to...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Godspeed, Charles Krauthammer – I read Dr. Charles Krauthammer’s letter on Friday with feelings fondness and sadness. I’ve been a big fan of his writing – and later of his commentary on the Fox All-Star panel discussions – for at least 30 years now, so the news that he has only a few more weeks to live in this life is something I find to be profoundly sad, although I’ve had a feeling for months now that this news was coming. Dr. Krauthammer won a Pulitzer Prize in 1985 for his commentaries,...

... The most recent episode began with Friday's Group of Seven summit in Quebec, .... It followed Trump's decision not to exempt any of them from new U.S. "national security" tariffs on steel and aluminum imports. That ruling came on the heels of nearly 18 months of clashes over climate change, trade, NATO, Iran and other issues on a list so long it is hard to remember everything on it. "What worries me most . . . is the fact that the rules-based international order is being challenged," European Council President Donald Tusk said

Donald Trump concluded his trip to the Group of 7 (G7) economics conference in Canada with a combative, unscheduled statement in which he promised that the United States would no longer be the “piggy bank that everyone is robbing.” Flanked by Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow and National Security Adviser John Bolton, Trump said the ultimate goal of U.S. trade policy was the elimination of tariffs and subsidies. But short of that, he also pledged the U.S. would raise its own trade barriers to combat unfair trade practices around the world. “We’re like the piggy bank that everybody’s robbing and that...

Everyone should be flexible and willing to bend, as life requires growth and change. President Trump surprised everyone at the G7 Summit in Canada by suggesting a radical change to the International trading system. He suggested that all tariffs, trade barriers, and Industrial subsidies should be dropped in order to facilitate free trade. “No tariffs, no barriers, that’s the way it should be,” Trump said. “And no subsides, I even said not tariffs.” Of course, it shocked everyone, as this comes after Trump decided to impose large tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from the European Union, Canada, and Mexico....

The United States on Saturday refused to sign a G-7 declaration calling for a reduction of tariffs and other barriers to trade, as President Donald Trump continued to lash out at traditionally close allies for allegedly treating the U.S. unfairly. Trump said he had instructed U.S. representative not to endorse the G-7 communique and his administration was considering imposing tariffs on automobiles.

“I am in agreement with President Trump,” Mr. Conte tweeted Friday. “Russia should reenter the G8. It is in everyone’s best interests.” Conte’s comment followed remarks by President Trump earlier on Friday regarding Russia’s role in the group of leading industrialized nations (G7). “With that being said, Russia should be in this meeting,” Trump said of the G7 summit, which begins Friday in Quebec. “Why are we having a meeting without Russia being in the meeting?” “Whether you like it or not, and it may not be politically correct, but we have a world to run,” Trump said. “And in...

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) excoriated President Trump on Friday for calling on Russia to be invited back to the Group of Seven, blasting the move as the “antithesis” of principled realism and “a sure path to diminishing America’s leadership in the world.” He became the third Republican senator to condemn Trump’s statement that the G-7, a group of major industrial powers, should not be meeting this weekend in Quebec without Russia. McCain contrasted Trump’s friendly words for Russia to his hard-line negotiating tactics with allies such as Canada, Mexico and the European Union on trade. “The president has inexplicably shown...
  • G7 — World Throws Tantrum As President Trump Puts America First

Leading up to the G7 summit, the entirety of the world Left, from Eurocrats to Media to American Democrats, are angry and supposedly fearful over President Trump starting a new trade war and tearing down the post World War II world order. They claim he is destabilizing the western world and much of the globe. But that stability was for too long built on America shouldering everyone else’s load, from military protection for Europeans who could afford to do more for their own defense to unfavorable trade deals with those same Europeans and non-allied competitors such as China. In the...
