Please FReep Mail me regarding the ping list for these reports. Thanks. COVID-19 Update As of 04/04/2020 23:44 PDST (taken at 23:59) Good morning everyone. Thank you for dropping in to check out this Update. Links to other resources: Near the bottom of this post. Commentary3: Interesting Tid-bits (hopefully) Our National COVID-19 Dynamics, Will Mimic Global Ones When COVID-19 first entered our thoughts, it was isolated in China. For weeks that's where it lived and thrived. As the numbers in China slowed, they wound down pretty good. Then came the nations outside China. Just when it seemed like there was...

AN OPEN LETTER TO VIRGINIA GOVERNOR RALPH NORTHAM ================================================= Dear Governor Northam, So, now it's official: Your earlier "suggestion" is today an "order". In other words, there really never was a choice in the matter. It was either your way or the highway. Well, I have some news for you. Virginians have never taken kindly to those who believe they ought, and have a right, to substitute their judgment for the judgment of free citizens. Virginians have a dislike of dictatorial mindsets, however well-meaning or apparently benevolent. Your notions are appropriate for other lands, where the peoples there are wards...

You might want to practice VERY CAREFUL self-quarantine if you've got diarrhea, if I'm right in the way I'm connecting news stories. (You might say that's a "big if," but from predicting the 2010 landslide to the election of Pope Francis to the peaking of China's and then South Korea's coronavirus, I think my track record on FR is pretty good. On the other hand, if some sizeable portion of the coronavirus tests being used are serological, I'm prepared to say "oooooops.") See, a study from the American Journal of Gastroenterology found that of 200 studied patients in Hubei, 50%...

Since the last day to complete the Census is tomorrow, I was curious if there was a census tracking website and I came across this one. With one day left, the responses seem very low. Keep in mind this is an on-line census so there should be no delays because the completed forms are 'in the mail'. It looks to me this on-line census didn't produce the higher responses than mail-in forms. There are going to be a lot of follow-up visits required but do they have the staff even without the current coronavirus crisis. Trouble ahead for congressional redistricting...

Recently my niece wrote and asked about my observations relating to the Wuhan Virus pandemic. After much thought I wrote this reply. You may find agreement, disagreement, or simply smack your forehead for any number of reasons. Crusher ****************************************************** Dear H Thank you for your note and update on y'all's situation and we join you in prayer. We are just hunkered down in the hinterlands where "social isolation" has been the status for any day ending in "Y" just about forever. It is early gardening season for your aunt and I have a never ending menu of projects in the...

I'm sure this is not such a terribly unique idea, but it seems to me we don't really need a randomized double-blind clinical trial on the drug when we know about 2 million people are prescribed hydroxychloroquine. How hard would it be for the government to ask rheumatologists to contact their patients prescribed hydroxychloroquine to find out how many of them have tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus? While the total number of people that have acquired this disease related to the population of the United States is probably somewhat insignificant, the absence of cases among hydroxychloroquine users in areas...

Trump should either: 1) Pull a Pelosi and say "Try Again" by flat out vetoing current $2,100,000,000,000 pork filled bill. .. . or . . 2) use Line item veto of the $1,000,000,000,000 in pork. The way I see it 7 new Judges on SCOTUS might see it different than this decision 22 years ago. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clinton_v._City_of_New_York

Like many Americans, I am astonished and outraged at what the Democrat Party has attempted to do with the Coronavirus Relief Bill. I am not a fan of bailouts, but this situation is unprecedented, and I am inclined to go along with a bill to help people and businesses affected by this. And there are many. When I heard the list of things that had been inserted in this bill by Nancy Pelosi and her ilk, it made my blood boil. Then, when I began looking closer, the range of things seemed bizarrely disconnected, as if they had taken their...

During the gulf war, reporters were broadcasting from undisclosed locations from somewhere in the Mediterranean. Tonight this will be a brief update, and I am also on the front line tonight I will apply the preamble from the previous three threads, you are welcome to read it to understand my methodology and where I am generating my sources. Today has been an interesting day from the data. Yesterday, there were multiple bad reports from Europe, however that has reversed today. One has to wonder if there was a weekend backlog because of the rise in numbers. However what is very...

I cannot believe our government is considering keeping everything shut down beyond next Monday! That is ridiculous. This is NOT a good decision in my very humble opinion. We've already seen huge damage done for companies by this period we're already in!!

the last bill on the stimulus did not pass because key republicans were in Quarantine and could not vote. Suggestion hold the Vote again and Have the Senators that are in Quarantine show up to vote in hazmat suits. This would hit the media so hard and get so many panicky democrat's Questioning there leadership that in the election in November the republicans would gain even more seats. this will also prevent Nancy Pelosi from creating a stimulus bill that ends up being signed because of desperation loaded with shit we know will be in the bill.

Folks, in response to the well-written piece by John Nolte over at Breitbart commenting on the worthlessness of Hollywood elites verses the people who actually make this country move: TRUCKERS and STOCKERS. The former offers nothing of value other than mindless entertainment, the latter will in the coming months, subject themselves to the inherent risks of the virus so that this country continues to thrive. Some facts you probably are unaware of: Truckers have no champion. Business likes cheap freight. Consumers like cheap freight. Guess who gets the short end? Yep. It has been my experience that as soon as...

Health care workers are widely complaining that they lack sufficient masks, which they need to protect them from being infected by Coronavirus patients. This is consistent with well established prudent health care practice. So it's apparent that the task force lied to us when it advised that healthy people shouldn't wear a mask, based on the lie that a mask doesn't protect the wearer, but rather protects others from being infected by an infected person wearing the mask. This advice seemed very strange when news programs regularly showed most people in public in China wearing a mask. This lie apparently...

Standard Macro policy, taught to every student, says that the government should accumulate “budget surpluses” during good times (like the past few years). That the positive balance should then be accessed and spent, when the “business cycle” kicks in and our economy dips for whatever reason. …..In short, the Federal government should not have to borrow to fund all the emergency-assistance being discussed in the news (or have the Federal Reserve furiously printing more fiat dollars to bail out asset prices). These policies only take us further down the road to a larger debt - and inflation. This “bill” will...

Good Evening all: Here is the 48 hour update on the data presented below. The data has been fast changing and as for all data sets there is some good news, some bad news, and some interesting news. I am adding the UK to the analysis. I will post the incremental 48 hour data points under each country. In terms of the data, the Worldodometer uses 2400 GMT to measure the 24 hour period, so I am convinced this is standardized appropriately. From the High level view, Italy is going off the rails, Germany and France appear to be on...

Just posted this on another thread, and I think that it might deserve its own. It's potentially great news, and most of us are really desperate for that right about now... Looking at the graphs of New Cases Reported in China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, France, and Spain, they are relatively consistent. Some cases get reported, and then a sudden rise in cases reported lasts for 13-17 days, then they hit a plateau for 3-4 days, then they begin to decline. China's rise lasted for 25 days, but that's easily explained by the fact that they were first, that they...
