Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

Yes...this is what matter so much!

“Romney/Ryan intend to cut Federal Regulations, cut Corporate and individual taxes, eliminate unnecessary and burdensome federal waste and programs (like ObamaCare), cut Federal Spending and Programs, reform necessary programs, embolden and allow private industry to rebuild the Free Market, stop using the Federal Government to abjectly interfere with and infrinfge on Institutions, Businesses amd individual’s Free Speech and Religious convictions, established a blanced budget, put in place a plan to eliminate America’s shameful and massive 16 trillion dollar debt, get out of the government ownership of large segments or corporations within the free market, support the Defense of Marriage Act, nominate strict constitutionalists to the bench in general and the Supreme Court in particular....”

Reagan was very remorseful publicly about that bill, he explained that many times.
Romney has always been a public supporter of abortion, he now says he has always been pro-life.
There is nothing in his record or public statements that talk about a heart change on the subject.
He still praises his health care bill which he insisted provide free to low cost abortions.
He has never said, “I had a change of heart”, what he does say say is “I have always been pro-life”.
The man is a liar, it is that simple.

Point is that people change...Henry Hyde certainly did!

Romney has been a MORMON all of his life.

I certainly did not post those posts filled with anti-Mormon, Christian identity issue tripe

I'm getting sick of your "Christian Identity" crap and your hostility towards Christians in general.

Jim, this kind of name-calling is identical to the previous name-calling that got a few posters banned.

From the ADL website, THIS is what sf4 is accusing FReepers of.

"Extremism in America from the "Anti-Defamation League"

Christian Identity is a religious ideology popular in extreme right-wing circles. Adherents believe that whites of European descent can be traced back to the "Lost Tribes of Israel." Mu Despite its small size, Christian Identity influences virtually all white supremacist and extreme anti-government movements. It has also informed criminal behavior ranging from hate crimes to acts of terrorism.

What is the difference between using the "nazi" terms and this?

What I find interesting is that this particular person demands this thread be moved from one category to another and it is done.
Now they are demanding that it be moved to another, because they highjacked it and turned it into their personal anti-Christian rants.
They demand every few posts that it be locked because they find it offensive.
The anti-Christian rants are disgusting, and yet it appears that it will continue unabated, the question is why is it allowed?
They lie about what posters have written with immunity, why?
One has to wonder why a person who claims they beleive in the stated goals of FR, would want to squelch free speech and religious discussions or why they are even here.
Personally, I think this person is a retreaded poster.
The cadence and subject matters are very familiar.

...”There is nothing in his record or public statements that talk about a heart change on the subject”....that is BS and any honest debater knows it. And Romney, from all the clips that I have seen, was indeed feeling that it was against his moral beliefs to commit abortion, but that that should not be imposed on women..leave it to them to decide. Of course that is very weak and wrong, and he has expressed regret over it. You guys are slandering his history and shame on you!Again, he was not my first choice, but I am not a dumb reactionary throwing the baby out with the bath water like you guys! Good grief.

///////// We are on the same page on this one! //////////

so....now that we know we’re on the same team....lol let revisit voting for romney....

Romney is not asking us to take the “mark”....if he were....i’d be with you.....

i believe God gave us a brain in life and in battle.....and this is a battle. To vote 3rd party hands our country to the MUCH worse of 2 evils. if we elect Romney we salvage the basic moral principles of our country and LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY....

i just don’t see how it serves our God to advance the evil that Obama is....

one last analogy....My son served in Iraq twice, fighting under and along side non believers.....should he have sat down and refused to fight because they were not Christians???

That sweetie is what all most all pro-choice people say. This is NOT pro-life.

I know that...point is that many here are calling him an abortionist and that is not true. He simply was too weak to “impose” his morals on law. Abortionists promote, like, make money and don’t see wrong in abortion. They are extreme leftists too.

Of course he did not kill the babies directly, he has promoted the killing however by his actions.
If you know that Romney is pro-choice by his own words, why are you insisting he be called pro-life? Or are you acknowledging he is pro-choice and that maybe one of your issues, but not a deal breaker.

***So the soonest we can get a conservative POTUS with your plan is 2020, after 8 years of RomneyRule. If Romnuts loses, we could have a conservative as POTUS in 2016. No matter who wins this next election, conservatism loses.

2016 will be too late to eliminate obamacare.

We have been pushing for a conservative since Reagan and it hasn't happened.

I think the greater conservative presence in the legislature will off set the moderates as well as having a solid conservative VP. I was not a Romney backer, but compared to a radical socialist I'll take him.

He had a conversion and consulted with doctors about it all in 2005. I happen to believe the man as he sounds sincere to me. I guess you do not and I think that is quite unchristian of you.

Do you also believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny? That Amelia Earhart and Judge Crater are alive and well and awaiting their rescuers?

This is the quality of debate, try to mock the intelligence of someone with a different view?

You've run through a list of things that Romney says he will do and then ask if I believe he will do them. The answer is YES!

Romney will sign the repeal of obamacare because he has to. If he doesn't his presidency will be over before it begins. Also, I do believe that Romney will seek to replace it with market driven solutions, that's what the Ryan pick is all about.

We have a choice between a northeast moderate and a radical socialist. I was pulling for Perry, but that didn't work out. I'll vote for the moderate with the conservative VP. If we don't end obamacare now by 2016 it will be to late.

Let me give you one thing to chew on. Conservatives haven't had a conservative POTUS since Reagan. The primary system is stacked against conservatives and until that's reformed the odds are stacked against us. If Ryan is VP we have a good shot down the road.
