Destined to be as longlasting and engaging as Mario Cuomo's radio show.

There is no way, ever, that Bill Clinton will host a regular show of any kind for any media. The reasons are many. Firstly, HE is the one who wants to be sitting in the interviewee chair, fielding softball questions from adoring, awe-struck media darlings. He does NOT want to be in their position, asking the questions and allowing any guests the limelight.

What about doing a solo job where it's just him, aka Rush? Nope. Despite Bill's ability to squeeze bilge out from his gut through his mouth, he simply does not have enough substance and/or conviction within himself to fill an hour or three every day. Rush does 3 hours and the time usually flies. You feel like he was just getting warmed up when it hits 3 PM Eastern. That is, of course, the mark of a good entertainer - he leaves you wanting more. Bill Clinton can leave even his admirers wanting LESS. Remember his book? How many trees paid the ultimate sacrifice to be turned into text stock for one copy? And did a single meaningfull thing come of it? LOL Hardly. It was like biting into a sandwich consisting entirely of 8 slices of white Wonder bread.

Then there's the discipline factor. Despite how easy Rush makes it sound (another mark of someone very, very good), you don't just show up 3 minutes before the show starts and declare yourself ready and have everything run smoothly. There's a tremendous amount of show prep, having to be at a certain place at a certain time every day. Bill Clinton is a man very well known to lack self discipline. Not in just the bimbo area, but in general. While the Bush White House runs a tight ship, meetings begin and end on time, Clinton was famous for being late for everything. Well, except for the time Monica said he came early, but that's another story altogether.

Finally, Clinton may be a "Bubba", but he's at least smart enough to know how dumb he is. He knows he doesn't have the material, discipline, or ego for the job, and knows that would all be exposed if given the chance. He won't take that chance. Of course, his "health" will be an easy excuse of why "I'd loooove to do my own show, but mah fine doctors tell me I shouldn't push things", yada, yada, yada...

There is no way the "pants around the ankles President Clinton, would have what it takes to do a talk show. I doubt he could last one session. Libs do not do this well....listen and watch (Direct TV Sundance channel every night) to al Franken..awful, just awful. He throws out nasty remarks constantly at anything Conservative, and backs nothing up with facts. You can't talk to a lib, because all they do is attack the subject...in the world of ideas, they don't even make it to first base.

This guy really think highly of himself. Narcissistic Personality Disorder, on top of his Peyronie's...He is bent in more than one way.

I sincerely hope he tries talk radio. His only audience will be female enablers, just as in the Democratic Party -- Girly men and enablers.

You took the words out of my mouth. Bubba will never be a talk-show host. I would add one thing.

Being tied down to a demanding radio show would keep Bubba from his globe-trotting lobbying efforts to become secretary-general of the UN.

His sights are higher than sitting in front of a mike in a cramped studio every day huckstering Snapple, dating services, Oreck upright vacuums and hair-loss treatments.

Today, an office in Harlem.

Tomorrow, the world.

Yes, I'm sure he thinks that is all beneath him, but the fact is, he's simply not up to the job.

Nobody'll listen for long...not even the devoted. All he does is vomit "me! me! me!"

This news hit on Thursday of last week. I didn't hear Rush Limbaugh's Friday program. Does anyone know if he discussed the potential?
