exactly. we need to enforce the laws in palce. they shouldn't be hiring illegals in the first place.. jobs dry up for the illegals and they'll move somewhere else
For years Ive been saying we should use the RICO law on criminal employers. Under RICO the government can confiscate the personal assets of the board, the officers and the executives, including their homes, cars and retirement accounts.
If the government impoverishes 30 or 40 corporate big wigs, companies would be firing illegals faster than they hired them. Many of them would then go back where they belong. If we cut off tax paid services to illegals, the rest would go home too.
What we need is an administration that enforces the law. The problem would be solved
Until we all write our congressmen and tell them that if they don't treat this like the crime it really is they are fired this will get know where.
That is the only way to stop the illegals. Don't just sslap their wrists, put illegal hirers in jail and the illegal stampede will dry to a trickle.
Make the employers first offense a very stiff fine, the second offense a felony with a extremely stiff fine and jail time. Amen,
Sounds like a good idea, but knowing how our court system operates the people who get prosecuted for hiring illegals won't be the people who hire dozens of illegals (like the wine industry and hotel industry). The people who get charged will be those who have an illegal watch their kid three days a week so they can go to work.
I'm not saying that people who have a landscaper or a janitor who come in a couple days a week or month are doing the right thing, but if Mr & Mrs Jones is going to be prosecuted for having an illegal do their laundry, then for damn sure Gallo Winery better be prosecuted for having thousands of illegals
picking their grapes....
Would you slap the hand that fed you?
It's all about money.
Of course, what are there 10 million illegals or so. And while we are jailing them and their employers and their landlords, we might as well jail people who sell stuff to them. That way we might be up to 70-100 million people we need to jail. It makes perfect sense to me.....
I agree. If the Left is so upset about turning "poor undocumented" immigrants into felons and putting them in jail, surely they won't object to us imprisoning some greedy capitalists instead. That should help to stem the problem and make the Marxists happy at the same time.
I like Rush's take on Congress not being able to enforce immigration laws, so therefore ignoring them. Which laws can WE ignore - IRS??? If 12 million of us decided to ignore tax law, would they be able to enforce it?
Deport every one of them and their obnoxious, disrespectful kids, place the National Guard on the border armed with orders to shoot to kill anyone not obeying their orders to stop, anyone still here make it a felony to be here UNDOCUMENTED and fine the employers who try to employ them illegally and who try to pay below minimum wage.
And do it NOW!! Those are my demands as a American taxpaying Citizen!!
Let's not play with those that would sell us out in Washington who import poverty so we taxpayers can support them. If Washington wants to import poverty make them pay out of their income!!!!! Not US!! We didnt ask for the welfare bums to be imported make every employer and every politician starting with the President to pay and support the UNDOCUMENTED bums and their punks and dont make us do it!!
I think there is something else which is influencing our non-enforcement of the immigration laws: oil imports. If you look at the top 15 countries exporting oil to the U.S., Mexico is second (1.701 mbd) right behind Canada at 1.768 mbd. Could it be a fear of losing this oil?
I honestly do not mean to introduce a new topic, confuse the issue on this one, OR irritate any of my fellow conservatives on this immigration issue -- but there is this...
The War on Illegals has no more chance of success than the War On Drugs, and for exactly the same two reasons.
[1] The suppliers {illegals} have lots of reason to continue.
[2] The users {employers} have lots of reason to continue.
Add to that the fact that for all the current disturbance and emotional upheaval, it really is NOT among the biggest problems the country faces.
Again I say, our politicians aren't going to do squat.
Marking.
Why not target our elected officials who have chosen to look the other way for so long?
