Running as an independent when he doesn't win in the primaries, to syphon Republican votes and hand Hillary the Presidency. (1) He already stated that he wouldn't run as an indpendent or 3rd party candidate
(2) If the GOP establishment and conservative elitists keep trashing and smearing Paul, his supporters are not going to support the GOP nominee in the general.
(3) If Paul "can't win" anyway, why are you nervous then if he does decide run as an independent?

Ron Paul gets more support on DU than any conservative site Ive seen yet. Unfortunately a lot of the Deaniacs are trying to hijack Paul's campaign. Then you got a lot of the anarchist libertarian types too.

Good try...
It has been a few years since I was in Alabama, but this group does not represent the Republican Party of the state, so any attempts at painting it as an “official” straw poll are a bit much.

That’s not merely unfortunate, my friend, it’s a clear indication that Ron Paul’s ideology is a danger to the security and health of our country.

What gets me is everytime he has any kind of win, there are a cadre of folks who line up to say “Yeah, there’s a couple kooks out on the net who have nuthin better to do all day than sit there and click support for Ron Paul”
In fact there are a couple of kooks who have nothin better to do all day than say exactly that.

Thats not merely unfortunate, my friend, its a clear indication that Ron Pauls ideology is a danger to the security and health of our country. You mean returning to traditional Constitutional principles? That's a danger to the U.S.?
I don't blame Paul's supporters for getting excited after finally, a politician who's just like them.

To: George W. Bush
We know exactly what you are trying to do. Sorry... Ron Paul is a moron (liberals are pretending to support him while claiming to be conservative in order to create FUD... Do you really think we are morons? I know you believe it, but we are not.).

Currently taking wagers that Ron Paul doesnt get over five percent in any GOP primary next year.
I won’t make the wager with you but I think Paul is in for the duration and won’t drop out until he’s denied a spot at the convention. I read this as sorta Pual’s last stand and he needs very little money to operate a campaign such as he does [internet, LP, etc] and thus probably has enough now to make it to the end of the primary cycle.
I see Paul as the Keyes of 2000, in all the way even with no chance of winning. If that’s the case he’ll draw all the disgruntled votes from those not supporting the eventual winner as the field narrows and as Keyes did will draw some percentages in the teens or so.

Ron Paul is a trojan horse.
The support for this macaroon comes from a very few libertarian nuts and a lot of hard core libs politically trying to make this macaroon a viable candidate for the right. It shows how well coordinated the move-on-morons have become with Soros financing. He is totally a Trojan horse. Very Naderish. A buffoon.
