Proving the validity of the Law of Unintended Consequences again, Anti gun groups are unwittingly helping to boost the sales of the FN Herstal 5.7 pistol, its ammunition, and high capacity magazines, by asking Obama for an import ban on them.
The events of the last 13 months have shown what happens to gun, magazines, and ammunition sales when Americans have good reason to fear draconian changes in our gun laws.
Never failing to further their agendas by using tragedy, 27 anti gun groups have joined together to blame the gun, the ammunition, and the high capacity magazines for the Fort Hood killings. Never mind the mass of evidence that points to the fact that Hasan is a fanatic, Muslim lunatic, and a murdering, Jihadist. Never mind the fact that Hasan was, by all appearances, on a mission "for God" to kill.
Never mind that he probably would have loved to have done the killings with a more traditional Muslim Scimitar, lopping off heads in the Sharia way, or would have used any other weapon he could lay hands on...if he didn't have a FN handgun. Mass murders have been done in Asia with knives.
Never mind the fact that all of his victims were helpless, were unarmed, were in a gun free zone...
Never mind that, except for the M.Ps, the entrance guards, and during training, loaded guns are absolutely prohibited on the base.
Never mind that murder and assault are against the law.
Never mind that Hasan knew he would face the death penalty for his murders, if he survived, but preferred his 72 virgins.
This group has written the following letter to President Obama, asking him to ban further importation of the FN Herstal 5.7, the pistol used by Major Hasan at Ft. Hood...
Here's the letter....

Firearms and ammo are the only provable part of the economy that Obama has stimulated.
I think it would be a good snake gun.
High Power High Cap mags ,dunderhead!
I guess that is liberal MSM speak for 27 idiot liberal Democrat jerk offs in a building with 27 fax and copy machines and 27 different 501(3c) charters.
I believe that they're pretty useful against Cylons.
“He could just as easily used a Browning Hi-Power with a 30 round magazine.”
Yeah, but they don’t feed reliably.
1) Were any of the victims wearing kevlar? Because 99% of the hub-bub about this gun is the fact that it is chambered for a spitzer round that penetrates kevlar better than a round nose bullet. But if the intended target is not wearing body armor then the Five-seveN is nothing more than an expensive .22Mag and not very effective.
2) Thank god the crazy guy was using a 5.7mm (= .224 cal) instead of something a bit more potent like a .40 or a .45acp. There would likely have been a lot more fatalities that day had he used a caliber that caused more tissue damage than the 5.7mm. It is the difference between being stabbed with an ice pick and being hit by an axe.
3) If he couldn’t buy the Five-seveN he would have just bought any other gun. Many popular semi-auto handguns have after-market high-cap magazines available. The Glock 17 in 9mm comes to mind, you can buy 30 round mags or even 50 round beta mags.
4) None of this matters, really, because the guy is still crazy and still broke the laws. Making more laws will do nothing.
Right you are on the feeding reliability. I’d rather have a Mec-Gar 20 rounder or even one of their standard mags.
Novelty scares the crap out of people who just don’t “get it”; it’s the owner who operates the firearm, and not vice-versa.
How about banning muslim terrorist murderers instead?
How about a ban on jihadis?
Heck, yeah!
I've consolidated around .45 ACP, 9mm, and 7.62x39.
A good friend of mine went one step further and consolidated around 9mm and 5.56/.223 ONLY.
Follow this through to the end and you'll find a surprising and inexpensive penetrator.
A 9 with decent ammo has better stopping power. The only reason to use the 5.7 is to penetrate body armor. Had he used a 45, he would have killed 30.
Don’t say that or they’ll be knocking on the door for my 1911 pretty soon. Too bad it was stolen last week, along with all of my other firearms, by maruading thieves.
Finally, I can agree with something an anti group has to say! 33 or whatever shot and only 13 dead is definite evidence of the need for better gun control and/or evidence of a poorly designed caliber.
Like the PS90. Hold’s like a million rounds of 22 Hornet, more or less. If you need a million rounds, you’re not using the right round.
Five-Seven needs a scope as well for it’s range.
