CBS Evening News anchor and managing editor Katie Couric said in an intreview that the mainstream media still has a role to play and that people want coverage with a point of view.

From PoynterOnline

When Katie Couric accepted the Alfred I. duPont award last week for her series of interviews with former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin during the 2008 presidential campaign, she said, "The much derided MSM -- main stream media -- clearly still has a role in these increasingly partisan times."

CBS has had an anti-American bias as far back as I can remember. All the way back to that scumbag Walter Cronkhite.

To show how much media types like Couric skew leftwards, some years ago somebody asked Dan Rather where he thought the N.Y. Times political sensibilities lay. He replied “straight down the middle.” Any person who couldn’t recognize the fact that the Slimes was tilted severly leftwards was either lying or too stupid to be allowed near a tv camera.

Fine Katie, give us your point of view. You will anyway.

Now quit pretending to be objective.

Yeah! The role they still have to do is to ask the tough questions of Obama and his crew just like they did to Sarah!

How ironic is it that she made these comments while accepting an award from fellow lefty Democrat “journalists” for her hit job on Sarah Palin. Meanwhile - - still - - nobody knows anything about the Kenyan communist.

“What about trying to be fair and balanced?”

I think that statement is a little insipid, I would prefer honest and accurate... from all networks.

Hey, cool chart!
It would be interesting to see CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News added, just for a laugh.
Is there any doubt that it would show Americans’ preference for straight news, with no partisan spin on behalf of the America-hating Democrat party?

Stupid and ignorant are points of view. I’d stop going with those, Katie. They’re not working for you.

Note the “embarrassed for her” laughter from the group with the rear view.

I don't know. Couric might be someones grandmother.
