full title - The Shadow Party: How a Washington-Based Liberal Activist Is Trying to Turn Texas Blue (Whether Texans Want It or Not)

The "Colorado Model" and George Soros' "Shadow Party" have both landed in Texas in the form of a shady activist with a plan: attack the GOP's largest stronghold and destroy its limited-government success story.

I was talking to a Texan yesterday who was pretty blue (emotionally) about the course of Texas politics.

Hope so. Anyway, sunlight is the best disinfectant. People like Soros and this guy can get away with their subversion only so long as it's kept in the dark. The more public the links between them and their politician/media stooges are made the less leverage they can exert.

We need to learn activist skills and counter-activists skills, and crush these people.

Hard to say, the main street republicans are still around and suckling at the Soros teat.

With the explosion of the latino population in Texas it’s inevitable. Hate to say it but it’s true.

Yep, and these same “Main Street Republicans” are the same ones who are NOW going NUTS over the taking back of the GOP by “principle minded” conservatives.

Quite an assumption there. You do know that there are a helluva lot of hispanic conservatives in the state.

Very interesting! Ethics violations and the resulting outrage do seem to go one way. So much so that I already discount a charge but that is not good because when people are seriously unethical, they shouldn’t be in power. In either party.

Let’s hope that shining the light of day on this guy will help hinder his usefulness. And conservatives have to stay diligent!

“I was talking to a Texan yesterday who was pretty blue (emotionally) about the course of Texas politics.”

When all the wetbacks become legal under the Kenyan regime, yes then we will have to fold our tent and belly up to the welfare line because the commies will have taken over.

Perry is a two-faced jerk. In spite of that, he is eons better than Bill White (the no ID card voter guy). Perry has been in office too long. On one hand he is for states rights, then at election time, he says we don’t need a law like AZ. His land grab attempt was another stupid move. Dewhurst (Lt. Gov.) is waiting in the wings. He is no better (perhaps even worse). He opposed appraisal caps and that is litmus with me.

The best state officeholders to me right now are Greg Abbott (Atty. Gen.) and Michael Williams (TX Railroad Commissioner).

In the near term, I think we are okay. If things start to lookd grim, we can always decide to divide ourselves into five states and gain four to six new conservative senators. Texas does have that right.

Yup the main street crowd are real bottom feeders.

In 06 Joe Schwarz was defeated in the primary (Mi-7) by Tim Walberg. Just days before the general election Schwarz announced a write in campaign with a stated goal of defeating Walberg. Walberg won anyway.

In 08 Schwarz endorsed the marxist democrat against Walberg and actively campaigned for the marxist. The Marxist won by a narrow margin as part of the idiotic Obama wave. (2%)

This year Tim Walberg is back and Joe Schwarz was right there backing another candidate against the extremist Walberg. Walberg won the primary with nearly double the votes of his nearest challenger.

Schwarz is in a tricky but dangerous position. He’s close to our liberal GOP nominee for governor and called on democrats to vote for snyder over “extremists” Cox, Hoekstra, and Bouchard. Schwarz is now chairman of commpn sense for michigan, a site geared toward getting democrats to vote for liberal republicans.

I welcome them, let them spend their precious resources in deep red Texas. They misread us, many are none too happy about Perry’s 10 year tenure. But we had that fight in the primary. I know I will be pulling the lever for Perry because the wacko liberalism of White is too much to even contemplate.

I heard some stats yesterday about the political makeup of Texas. If I recall correctly, Texas is; 38% conservative, 38% moderate, and and about 18% liberal.

Not a favorable environment for a left-wing, Democrat campaign to switch a state blue, in my opinion. You’d think they’d expend their resources in purple states instead.
